will.i.am &Britney Spears hang on a third week at Number 1. Britney now matches the success of her predecessor number 1 Lucky in 2000.

Icona Pop Feat. Charli XCX rise to number 3 making I Love It the most successful Swedish production since number 1 hit I Follow Rivers.

Sido goes 8–5 with In meinem Kopf which gives him a Top 5 hit for the third time in his career.

On Tour in Germany, Number 1 in Austria – CRO makes a 14–8 leap with Einmal um die Welt and reaches a new peak with this song. It is already the 24th chart week which makes the song the slowest climber since Ma Chérie reached its peak at number 6 in May last year.

Linkin Park’s Castle Of Glass still two weeks ahead the full release on CD enters the Top 10 – it is the fourth Top 10 hit of the band and follows the number 2 song Burn It Down which re-enters at number 93.


This week we do have 12 new entries and 11 re-entries – meaning it is the biggest turnover of that young year so far. So the charts get back to the speed they had at the end of 2012.

The most present artist of 2012 is starting the new year: Pitbull delivers the highest new entry with Feel This Moment at number 12. It is his 21st charting track in this decade and the 25th at all. His partner on the song Christina Aguilera also counts 25 chart hits with this entry and now spends 15 consecutive years inside the German charts. The single itself will be available on CD from February 22nd on.

With the success of Ellie Goulding’s Lights the label scheduled a re-release of the single CD for February 15th. This week the song rises 26–19 and probably this track will become her first Top 10 hit on German shores.

Also worth mentioning Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Wanz reach the Top 20 with Thrift Shop. The song still isn’t signed to a label and sells directly from the artist’s platform. That’s unbelievable and probably shows what will happen in a few years within the whole music business.

Finally Nicki Minaj’s Va Va Voom catches fire and reaches the upper half of the list.

After her performance on Wetten dass… Leona Lewis is back in the list with her last hit Trouble. So far it spent only five weeks inside the list. That’s poor for a star like Leona Lewis is.
Caligola adds one more week to the summit of its Forgive Forget after performing at the show. Now the track counts 20 chart weeks.

Rita Ora’s How We Do (Party) spends rising the last week on digital sales only . The track reaches now number 40.

Used at Dschungelcamp Philipp Poisel returns to the list with Ich will nur. It is only the fourth chart week and number 41the second highest place it ever reached.
Promoted by that success also Wie soll ein Mensch das ertragen returns to the list. The album Project Seerosenteich just reached gold status selling 100.000 copies.

AVICII VS Nicky Romero steadily rising. They reach number 44 in their third week in the list.

The release of the Django unchained soundtrack helps three songs into the list as solo tracks. First of all Anthony Hamilton can enter the survey withFreedom at number 55. Further down the list we also find the main title Django by Luis Bacalov, Rocky Roberts (by the way one of the very few Argentinian musicians who can enter the German list). And finally at number 100 there is Rick Ross with 100 Black Coffins.

The album of Kollegah & Farid Bang Jung, Brutal, Gutaussehend 2 is scheduled for February 8th. Till now there are four tracks released before. Number 4 Stiernackenkommando enters teh list this week.

A complete week after releasing the album LONG.LIVE.A$AP fully the artist’s single F**kin’ Problems returns back to the singles charts and reaches a new peak with number 86.

Carnival season is at the door: Mickie Krause sneaks through the list. Two weeks ago his Nur noch Schuhe an visited the survey at number 99 now it re-enters at 90. The peak of the song was back in August last year at number 32.

31-12: Mallorca Sound And TV Made Hits

Here is another very calm week as we see an almost static Top 20. Nothing new at the Top. It is the fourth week for LYKKE LI that she spends at the Top with I Follow Rivers. It is the fourth single in 2012 that can do so at least a full month. Last female artist having four weeks at number 1 was Rihanna back in autumn 2011 when her We Found Love heavily supported by Calvin Harris was the most sold single in Germany. The last female solo artist spending more then 4 weeks at the Top was summer queen 2011 Alexandra Stan who had her Mr. Saxobeat seven consecutive weeks leading the survey. So one can truly call I Follow Rivers a real summer hit.

Strong competition arrives at number 2 where Asaf Avidan stops with the Wankelmut Remix of his Reckoning Song which is much better known under the name One Day. The Israeli singer songwriter now is in Germany the most successful act from his country since Ofra Haza topped the charts in summer 1988 with Im Nin’Alu. In between only Yael Naim made it into the Top 5 in Germany. You all for sure remember her 2008 hit New Song which was heavily supported by an advertisement of Apple. A last word ‘bout Asaf Avidan: He is only the third Israeli act that can reach Top 3 status in Germany. Before Ofra Haza only Esther & Abi Ofarim had a number 2 hit in 1968 with Morning Of My Life.

Worth noting the rise of Triggerfinger that can bring its cover of I Follow Rivers to Top 10 status. It is more than a year ago that Milow as the last Belgian artist hit the German Top 10.

Another Belgian artist is entering the list for the first time further down. DJ Netsky is a hot thing adored in the underground for about a year. Now TV channel Pro7 used his track Come Alive for its summer self ads and brings the track into the charts. Number 75 might be a start that will lead to more stardom soon.




Highly anticipated in the yellow press Bobby Brown can turn gossip into real attention making his single Don’t Wake Me Up rising into the Top 20 which now is the highest rank for him since last year’s Yeah 3x climbed to number 7.

The more impressive mover is Taio Cruz. His World In Our Hands–still one week before the official CD single release–takes a 40 places leap to number 30. Seems that in next weeks time that song becomes his fifth Top 10 hit in a row. Right now it is heavily supported as one of the signature songs for the official broadcasting of the Olympics.


There are some new German productions entering the list. Most of them fit perfectly to holiday feeling–in words: Mallorca sound. The so called Schlager or Discofox is very popular on the island as well as in Bulgaria and similar sea holiday paradises.

Highest new German production is Nur noch Schuhe an! (Only Wearing Shoes) by Mickie Krause. Once again it is a covered hit coming from the Netherlands and originally performed by Gebroeders Ko. Alleen maar schoenen aan was last year number 6 in the Dutch singles Top 100. Mickie Krause–always looking for new material to record in same sounding style–took the party song and transfered it into German. The result ... is senseless as always. Probably the original had some power and som straightness–the cover is only for drunken idiots. Germans love that–the single is entering at number 32. It is the 17th chart hit for Mickie Krause. By never reaching the Top 10 he is one of the most active medium hit producers.

Also Michael Wendler brings a new single into shelves. Was wäre wenn (What If) is his eighth chart single. It starts at number 40 which is more or less a weak entry.



Anna-Maria Zimmermann duets with Olaf Henning who hardly tries having a new hit after his Cowboy & Indianer hit in 2008. Both together recorded Freundschaftsring which can enter the list after its release on CD at number 73. Whether this will be the big success… ? The last singles of Anna-Maria Zimmermann only spent one week each inside the charts.



Most awkward Mallorca singer Ina Colada is back too with another cover version. This time she took Seven Tears originally an international hit for the Goombay dance Band and released in a German version in 1981 by Severine. The English recording made it in Germany only to number 13, in Britain it got a three weeks number 1 and was the biggest hit for the Goombay Dance Band outside Germany. The new version takes the tune and the lyrics, speeds up the whole thing and turns the romantic story into a senseless singalong cover. That is bold enough for entering at number 81.

Der Checker is sort of a B-class star. In 2010 he was one of the candidates of the Superstar casting show. He released a rap single three months after which became popular achieving number 18. Now he is turning his style into party Atzen sound and releases Unf***ingfassbar!. Don’t know what is more awkward: he himself or seeing Harald Glööckler appearing in the video. This is pop for really poor people.



Groove Coverage lifts Riot On The Dancefloor as the fourth single from the same titled album. And lands with number 91 the worst chart position ever reached with a single release (except the two very first singles).


The one and only serious German new entry comes from Tim Bendzko who releases a fourth single from his album Wenn Worte meine Sprache wären (If Words Would Be My Language). Sag einfach JA (Just Say YES) was chosen as the background sound for the Sat.1 trailer announcing the movie programme on Tuesday evening in July. So the newcomer of 2011 had strong support and sees his new single landing at number 42 in its first week on sale. Sound and lyrics are directly connected to his three hits before. It will get much more interesting seeing him continuing in releasing new material.




Party music is the thing searched the most these days. So Swiss project Remady & MANU-L Feat. J-Son benefits from that mood. Single Ladies already released three months ago really catches fire and jumps right in the upper half of the German list. It sits now pretty at number 41in its eighth chart week and marks the highest position Remady so far achieved in Germany. The number 1 success it had in Switzerland is yet a long way to go.

A week before the official releasing British boy group The Wanted still rising. Chasing The Sun enters position 50 and is on the way of becoming the biggest success for the band. Supported by RTL Nitro also project b. Feat. Kelly Rowland can get raising attention. Summer Dreaming 2012 slowly rises after it is used for self ads of the TV channel.

And finally just another TV campaign : Pro7 features its comedy programme on Tuesday with a spot backgrounded by Rayos de sol from Jose de Rico & Henry Mendez. The track should have been a summer hit by itself. It is available since end of May and can enter the list now after its use on TV.

20-12: New Old Number One And (Almost) No Entries

Do you remember what I told you last week? I promised you the start of the summer and the arriving of loads of new songs. This week everything is changed again. We only can find 6 songs completely new on the charts and 2 tracks re-entering the list which means there is an 8 tracks turnover of the list. It is the second time this year that we only have eight songs listed that not were in the list the week before. So probably one have to wait a little longer for the transformation in a hot new summer list ...

But there are some moves done in the charts: Luca Hänni’s halt at the Top is stopped after a single week by predecessor Too Close offered by dubstep singer Alex Clare. Latter one now adds a third week to his number one addition. The Swiss superstar tumbles down to number 3 due to the fact that current soccer champion BVB enters the list at number 2 with the anthem Borussia, schenk uns die Schale (Borussia, Take The Bowl/Cup). It is the third year in a row that a BVB anthem can enter the list. It started two years ago with a song celebrating the 100th anniversary of the club. Last year the team won the tournament and the anthem recorded with Krypteria stormed to number 6. This year the crowd is even more crazy–the current single enters the list at number 2. A few days ago the team also won the DFB cup. So we will see the single listed at the very Top of the music charts for sure in two weeks time again.

The single features Borussia master Norbert Dickel as the leading voice. He is an all time star for the club as he in 1989 brought the team two goals on the final match of the DFB cup although his knee was heavily injured. Shortly after that he was retired from sport and started a career as stadium announcer. Now he is debuting as a singer too.



The song itself is a cover of the Mickie Krause Mallorca hit Schatzi, schenk mir ein Foto. The song originally penned by Dutch Gebroeders Ko already spent 42 weeks inside the German charts in at least two different mixes. It peaked at number 27 on beginning of March during the heydays of this year’s carnival season.


Next new German song comes from Revolverheld member KRIS. Diese Tage (These Days) is a sunshiny song about the beautifulness of life. Every day is worth for living even if one seems completely ill fated. The sound (and the video) is very American country rock. It has a sing-a-long refrain and quotes a few anthems of that genre including Miss California which original lyrics by Dante Thomas are added to the song itself.




Four years after his first solo album Peter Heppner comes with a second. For featuring the release he offers the single Meine Welt (My World). In my opinion his sound is much more mellow and a bit more electronic than 2008. Even his lyrics seem to escape the reality. Peter Heppner dreams of an own world which is a better place. All that presented with that weepy voice … hmm one must be a fan for really loving that.




We do have a new superstar. Although he’s tumbling down in popularity right now every one around does remember the last DSDS season. Nonetheless there started a spin off on 5th May: DSDS Kids. I remember shows like this aired in the 80s and 90s already. Well, kids are sweet and help selling music. First beneficiary of the show is Adele. Her Someone Like You was the song performed by 12 years old Besnik. Jurywoman Dana Schweiger was overwhelmed–TV watchers also. The song can rise up the list again to number 49. Similar does Rolling In The Deep that was performed by 10 years old Gala. To be completely honest, also CRO gots a little more attention after Easy was performed by 10 years old Samuel. The song rises two places to number 7.

Dutch Mallorca Sound

What a week: 13 new entries! Only once this year we had more. It was the list of March 4th that welcomed 14 new tracks. – Well, two years ago it was quite usual having 20 or more new tracks in one single week. Times change fast.

13 new tracks doesn’t mean a lot of action. The Top 10 (and even the Top 20) looks almost static: Highest mover as mentioned before is Tim Bendzko who rises 6–3 with Nur noch kurz die Welt retten. Right behind him and a week after its full release Lady Gaga’s The Edge Of Glory slowly fades down. After its raise to number 3 last week it now slides down one place to number 4. Anyway it is the 7th song of Lady Gaga that at least peaked inside the Top 3. The big gainer of last week Lucenzo feat Don Omar and their Danza Kuduro is nailed at number 7. The story behind the track shows that it isn’t „real“ Kuduro at all …
Rising back to the peak she gained almost two month ago Brooke Fraser founds a lot of fans. After her album Flags peaked at number 6 two weeks ago the single Something In The Water benefits from the interest and rose back 13–9–8.

Highest gainer this week is the swiss-russian-american collaboration between DJ Antoine vs Timati feat. Kalenna. The remix of the english version of Welcome To St. Tropez jumps 20–12 and makes Timati the firstRussian artist hitting the Top 20 sinc t.A.T.u. did so in 2003 and 2005. DJ Antoine is the best ranking Swiss act in Germany since the heydays of Stefanie Heinzmann in 2008. So far it took the track 17 weeks for getting finally that high – it started somewhen inApril at a low number 79. Assuming the track will rise further the next week one can say already now: that’s what we call a chart career full of tension.

Also on the rise – although much slower – Katy Perry with Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) is. She moved so far 22–21–18–17. Will she finally reach the Top 10?


All the tracks new in the list gather lower than position 30. Nine of them are German productions. What sounds exciting is indeed not that powerful. The most successful German tracks are still the same:

2. Jupiter Jones Still
3. Frida Gold Wovon sollen wir träumen
All three inside the Top 20 and all three using the German language – that’s quite a feat.

Most successfull German track new on CD is Schatzi, schenk mir ein Foto (Honey, Give Me A Fotograph) which is newly released in a summer version including new Mallorca party mixes. The discofox techno sound still is very very popular in Germany and especially in Germans holiday destinations like Mallorca. So the new mixes caused a new interest – the party song now reaches a new peak at number 40 almost axactly 6 months after the song first appeared in the charts.



With the new edition the credits were changed by the company. The first release from the early 2011 was credited to Mickie Krause feat. Ko&Ko as the brothers from the Netherlands who wrote the song in original were participating in the recording as well. The new release only shows Mickie Krause at the cover although the version together with Gebroeders Ko is on the CD as well. The brothers probably don’t mind cause they are right now a featured act on Markus Becker’s new single. The Mallorca singer recorded their Heli-Heli Helikopter and took both into the studio as well. The result is now in shops and starts in the charts at number 52.



And there is a third Mallorca discofox party song originally released in Dutch entering the German charts. It is Dos cervezas por favor by Belgian (Flamish) actor Tom Waes which is now translated into German by Ina Colada. Do I have to say something more about that …? – Well, it enters at number 59 and gives Miss Colada a second chart hit.

And another stupid Mallorca hit: Vater Abraham (…hat 7 Söhne) (Father Abraham has 7 sons) by Tim Toupet also released as CD on 15th of July (I guess it’s quite unique that all these tracks appear in one week – probably the labels have some commitments). It starts at posiiton 76.




The Other New German Releases (and there are a lot!)

The Beatsteaks also have a new single. Automatic is not that significant as predecessor Cheap Moments was, but it sells much better – probably cause its kind of the title track of their album Boombox. Automatic starts at number 43. It is nothing more than the third track of the Beatsteaks reaching the upper half of the charts.



Jennifer Rostock had their first hit in 2008 after taking part at Stefan Raab’s Bundesvision Song Contest. Since than they appear continouosly with new material – they are one of the few German electropunk bands with a major label contract. Now their third album Mit Haut und Haar (Neck And Crop) is released – two weeks before the single Keiner nimmt mir Mein Mikrofon (Nobody Can Take Away My Microphone – sometimes shortened to Mein Mikrofon) is out. It is a powerful song about the strong will not to be silent and live own dreams. The band continues in their own style – only the refrain seems a little more mass compatible than earlier recordings. In September the band again will take part at Bundesvision Song Contest. Than a new single will be available.



New Single coming from Samy Deluxe is PoesieAlbum (Autograph Album) – it is the lead single of recent album Schwarz Weiss (Black White). Samy Deluxe is one of the serious German rap stars concerning more about society and life than their colleagues from AGGRO Berlin or ersguterjunge. Listening to the new track it is indeed a battle good vs. bad HipHop – very self-referred, but in musical terms a masterpiece. I’ve never heard before a German hiphop star rapping that fast – unbelievable. The first position for PoesieAlbum is number 63.




Söhne Mannheims (Sons Of Mannheim) are kind of a super group. Led by German soul singer no.1 Xavier Naidoo they already have four albums under their belt – all sold in proper amounts reaching top positions of the album list. The second single of their recent album is Freiheit. According to their homepage it is a hommage to the Arabian spring revolutions. The lyrics are much more unspecific defining what freedom is. A soulful ballad as well known from the sons – unfortunatly that’s what most people think, the track just can enter position 77



The new Söhne Mannheims single muc more supports the last Xavier Naidoo single. Bitte hör nicht auf zu träumen (Please Don’t Stop Dreaming) had achieved some new interest during last weeks. It is quite unknown what really caused the new popularity. At least last reports that Xavier Naidoo will be member of a jury at announced TV show The Voice Of Germany might making people more focused on him. Bitte hör nicht auf zu träumen is rising actually to number 45 the highest place since start of this year.





Four years ago the summer hit was a Spanish one sung by a band from Hannover: Marquess. The four guys had a lot of fun and almost three years of real success. Than they made a two years break and now they are back again. With a Spanish song of course named Chapoteo. Unfortunatly they didn’t get the real new idea in the last two years. It is an easy melody, it is a song with simple lyrics – and it is not at all that kind of catchy tune some others of them were. That’s a pity. The comeback starts at number 70.



Dancefloor project Michael Mind Project started last week with Ready Or Not. It is a track on which Sean Kingston sings – it entered the list at 55. Now it tumbles down to 71.



At last a trivia: at wednesday 20th July the German TV broadcasted Song Beneath The Song probably the most emotional episode of the 7th season of Grey’s Anatomy. This episode is made as a complete musical – one of the songs appearing in the show is Chasing Cars. Obviously it moved the German auditorium as well – the original recording by Snow Patrol enters the German charts for a 61st week at 78. Here is the scene in question.


And finally Disney serial Lemonade Mouth arrives in German free TV. First track appearing in the charts is Determinate which sneaks in at position 92. +

Appendix: Recent German Releases

It is still the time for former DSDS contestants. The winners of the recent season are on top with a new single. Last year’s winner Mehrzad Marashi just offered the teaser for his upcoming new album. Anna-Maria Zimmermann – the 6th of the 2006 season – is back with a new album and also number 3 of 2009 – Annemarie Eilfeld – known as the beast of the show offers a new release. As most of the others her career also looks like a daily soap. After a minor hit last autumn she splitted up with her producer George Glueck, changed her image, name and management and now comes as a German schlager singing artist. Seele unter Eis (Soul under Ice) is simple in a melodic and lyrical sense. When I was listening to the song for the first time I really felt back in the 80ies: Synth pop at its best ... unfortunatly we’re just counting 2011. I guess her new producing team is aiming at a different target group than before. People over 60 for example. It is a bad thing these people doesn’t buy music that much. Seele unter Eis only starts at number 67 in the singles list. Probably the upcoming album performs better.


Further down the list upcoming Mallorca party season is arriving. First of the hits only endurable drunken is Schatzi, schenk mir ein Foto (Honey, give me a photograph) that was often played in last Apres-Ski / Carneval season. In original the song was recorded by Dutch duo Gebroeders Ko in 2009. It became popular in Germany as well when it was offered in a German version by Vollker Racho and Marc Pircher. In November 2010 party king Mickie Krause recorded a new version credited to Ko&Ko as featured artists too. The single charted for seven weeks climbing to number 46 in early March. A new mix of the recording called Party Version 2011 is scheduled for release for mid-July. That one is credited to Mickie Krause only but I hardly doubt that he recorded the track newly. Well – in expectation of that new unbelievable mix the old track finds some buyers again and the recent chart lists the track new at number 90. I promise we will find that track much higher soon.

Mittlerweile schreiben wir den 16. Januar, das Jahr 2009 ist also gut im Gange, nur in den Charts sieht es noch eher lahm aus. Die dritte Woche in Folge, dass der höchste Neuzugang nur ein Wiedereinsteiger ist. Und mittlerweile die vierte Woche in Folge, dass die Top 10 nahezu statisch sind. An der Spitze also keine Veränderung. Katy Perry steht mit Hot N Cold die siebte Woche auf der Nr.1. Auch Polarkreis 18 und Amy Macdonald bewegen sich nicht von den Positionen 2 und 3.

Curse mit Silbermond macht noch einmal eine Wende und geht von der 11 auf die 7. So stehen sie mit Bis zum Schluss das zweite mal auf Höchstposition. Insgesamt stehen ihnen jetzt 8 Chartwochen zu Buche. Silbermond haben derweil ihre neue Single für den 20. Februar angekündigt. Das ist noch eine Weile hin. Bei Curse war derzeit noch gar nichts zu finden an Aussagen über anstehende Releases.

Der Gewinner in den Top 10 ist in dieser Woche DJ Ötzi. Mit einem Satz von der 29 auf die 10 bringt er sich in der 11. Woche wieder zurück ans obere Ende der Charts. Offensichtlich läuft Noch in 100.000 Jahren auf den Aprés-Ski-Partys ganz gut ... und die Karnevalsaison steht auch vor der Tür. Fast schon traditionell gehört der Januar zu großen Teilen doch den Stimmungsknallern und Discofox-Titeln. So auch 2009. Und dass DJ Ötzi die Liste der Party-Hits anführt ist ebenfalls nicht außergewöhnlich. Unter statistischer Betrachtung ist es jetzt spannend wie hoch ihn sein diesjähriger Titel noch bringen wird. Sein letztjähriger Beitrag I will leb’n brachte es im Februar immerhin auf Position 7, während davor das Duett mit Nik P. Ein Stern (der deinen Namen trägt) zwischen März und Mai 2007 11 Wochen lang an der Spitze der deutschen Charts stand und damit zum kommerziell erfolgreichsten Titel des Jahres 2007 avancierte. Auch in dieser Woche platziert sich der Dauerbrenner unter den volkstümelnden Stimmungsschlager wieder recht beständig auf der 47 (von 46) in der mittlerweile 78. Woche, laut chartsurfer.de der Titel mit dem viertlängsten Chartaufenthalt und nur drei Wochen vom Spitzenreiter Wolfgang Petry entfernt.

So wie es DJ Ötzi noch einmal zu neuen Höhen treibt, so kann sich Markus Becker über einen weiteren Wiedereinstieg freuen. Vor einer Woche schaffte es Das rote Pferd auf der 69 wieder in die Liste und diese Woche geht es nochmal 10 Plätze nach oben auf die 59. Auf der 34 platziert sich – sozusagen als höchster Einsteiger – dieses Mal außerdem Hörst du die Regenwürmer husten wieder in der Auswertung. Im August letzten Jahres stand der Titel bereits für fünf Wochen in der Liste und erreichte die Höchsposition 23. Jetzt wurde eine Après-Ski-Version veröffentlicht und mit dem Einstieg jetzt nach 4 Monaten scheint Markus Becker also einen zweiten Klassiker der Szene für sich verbuchen zu können. Es ist anzunehmen, dass die Regenwürmer in den kommenden Wochen noch um einiges klettern – die Karnevalsaison hat ja noch nicht einmal begonnen.
Die Originalversion von Hörst du die Regenwürmer husten stammt übrigens von Bernd Stelter und erreichte vor knapp einem Jahr die 34, also genau die Position, auf welcher die neue Version jetzt wieder einsteigt.

Der höchste reguläre Neueinsteiger geht ebenfalls an einen Party-Barden. Tim Toupet war im vergangenen Jahr mit zwei Titeln in den Charts präsent, darunter auch der Top 10-Erfolg Ich bin ein Döner. Bereits seit dem 21. November gibt es Tim Toupets neuesten Streich, eine Version von Donikkls So a schöner Tag (Fliegerlied), welches es im Oktober letzten Jahres bis zur 24 brachte und auch in einer Version der Jungen Zillertaler für ein paar Wochen in den Charts notiert waren. Nun also startet die etwas hochdeutschere Variante von Tim Toupet als dritte Version ihre Chartkarriere. Platz 38 ist dabei etwas weniger als das Original bei seiner Erstnotierung vorweisen konnte. Für Tim Toupet ist es derzeit die zweitbeste Platzierung nach dem Döner-Hit.
Die Jungen Zillertaler sind in dieser Woche im übrigen auch wieder mit dabei. Auf der 88 können sie ihre fünfte Chartwoche verbringen.

Zu den Aufsteigern in der oberen Hälfte der Liste, die nicht in die Kategorie Après-Ski und Stimmungsmacher fallen, gehört LaFee. Die Single Ring frei geht in der 7. Woche noch einmal von 49 auf die 32, zeitgleich zur Veröffentlichung des gleichnamigen Albums, welches diese Woche den höchsten Neuzugang in der Albumliste auf der 6 schafft. Damit ist ihr viertes Album bereits das dritte in den Top 10 der Longplay-Auswertung. Bei den Singles sieht es nicht ganz so spektakulär aus: Ring frei ist der achte Titel, der sich in den Charts platzierten kann und der dritte nach ihrem Top 3-Hit Heul doch von 2007. Seitdem scheiterte sie immer knapp an der Grenze zur Top 20. So auch Ring frei, welches Anfang Dezember auf der 22 die Charts enterte. Trotzdem schon eine große Bilanz, wenn man bedenkt, dass LaFee jetzt gerade mal 18 Jahre alt ist.

Der höchste Wiedereinstieg ohne neue Versionen per CD oder in anderweitiger Form geht mit Platz 46 an September. Cry For You ist nach zwei Wochen Pause wieder in den Charts. Momentan in der 13. Woche notiert, wird dieser Aufenthalt vermutlich ein kurzes Intermezzo bleiben, denn sollte September wieder in die untere Hälfte der Charts rutschen – und das ist sehr bald zu erwarten – dann hätte sie lediglich zwei weitere Wochen, bevor ihr Titel, der clever um die Hookline von Bronski beats Smalltown Boy gebaut wurde, wieder der Bereinigungsregelung zum Opfer fällt.

Neu auf der 60, und überhaupt erstmals in den Charts sind fünf junge Opernsänger aus Deutschland, Österreich und Israel, die unter dem Namen Adoro auftreten, und bereits in den Album-Charts seit Anfang Dezember ordentliche Erfolge feiern konnten. Das Album Adoro steht derzeit auf der Vize-Position der Liste und nun schafft es ihre Version des Rosenstolz-Titels Liebe ist alles als reiner Download-Titel in die Single-Auswertung. Ausschlaggebend für diesen Erfolg dürfte ihr Auftritt in der Silvesternacht vor dem Brandenburger Tor in Berlin gewesen sein. Dort interpretierten sie nämlich um Punkt 0:00 Uhr vor 1 Million Zuschauern ihren derzeitigen Hit. Die Originalversion erreichte übrigens im Jahr 2004 die Position 6.

Ein überraschender Wiedereinstieg steht mit Planet Funk und Chase The Sun auf der 61. Der Titel, der 2001 erschien und damals vor allem als Premiere League Dart Theme Popularität erlangte war damals auch zwei Wochen in Deutschland notiert. Zum Jahreswechsel flimmerten auf den privaten Sportkanälen neben der Vierschanzentournee auch die 16. Weltmeisterschaften der Profi-Dart-Spieler über die Bildschirme. Offensichtlich hinterließ der 8 Jahre alte Titel der Italiener so viel Eindruck, dass er eine Rückkehr in die Liste per Downloads schafft. In der insgesamt 3. Woche ist Platz 61 gleichzeitig die beste Platzierung für Chase The Sun überhaupt.

Völlig neu und sofort mit Veröffentlichung in den Charts: das schafft die niederländische Hermes House Band mit ihrer 13. Single Please Don’t Go (Don’t You). Das Cover des Hits von K.C. & The Sunshine Band aus dem Jahr 1979 geht in der Version 2009 direkt auf die 65. Das ist die schlechteste Platzierung einer Hermes-Single seit 2003. Damals konnte Suzanna lediglich für eine Woche die 80 besetzen.
Das Original von Please Don’t Go stand in den USA für eine Woche auf der Nr.1, in Deutschland ging es bis auf Platz 20. Die Cover-Versionen von Double You und K.W.S. waren dagegen wesentlich erfolgreicher und erreichten 1992 Platz 3 bzw. 7 in Deutschland. Auch auf dem aktuellen Album von Basshunter gibt es eine Version von Please Don’t Go. In Schweden wurde diese bereits als Single ausgekoppelt. Warten wir ab, ob es auch in Deutschland als Solo-Titel zu haben sein wird.

Das Dance-Projekt Baracuda ist nach ihrem Hit I Will Love Again im Spätsommer mit neuer Single am Start. Aber Where Is The Love schneidet mit Platz 69 recht ernüchternd ab. Nur einmal stand Baracuda mit einem Titel schlechter in der Liste: 2005 mit Ass Up.

Der Jahresbeginn scheint für Dance-Projekte äußerst interessant zu sein, denn auch der Neuzugang auf der 79 kommt aus diesem Bereich. Novaspace ist nach zweieinhalb Jahren Pause mit neuer Sängerin zurück. Diese heißt Jenny Marsala und ist bislang noch nirgends in Erscheinung getreten. Die erste Produktion mit ihr ist, wie fast alle anderen Titel vorher wieder eine Cover. Diesesmal hat Produzent Felix Gauder eine deutsche Pop-Produktion aus dem Jahr 1988 ausgesucht. Dancing Into Danger war der einzige Hit des Duos Inker & Hamilton, geschrieben von Hubert Kah und produziert von Michael Cretu. Im März 1988 stand der Titel für zwei Wochen auf der Position 19. Novaspace hievt nun den Titel ins neue Jahrtausend, und auch wenn man kein Freund von Dance-Produktionen ist, hier muss man dann doch eingestehen, dass die aktuelle Variante zeitgemäßer klingt. Die Gunst der Käufer erlangt der Titel dennoch nicht. Novaspace – Next Generation liefert mit Platz 79 das deutlich schlechteste Ergebnis ihrer Chartkarriere ab.

Ein weiteres Cover, allerdings in einer Karneval-Mallorca-Discofox-Version kommt mit Mickie Krause und Jede Stelle meines Körpers ist sexy auf die 91. Das Original ist wohl leicht zu identifizieren: Astrid Kuby & Michael Rosaro landeten mit dem Körperzellen Rock im November für drei Wochen in der Liste. Höchste Position 76. – Es könnte gut möglich sein, dass wir diese Version ebenfalls bald wieder hier begrüßen dürfen.

Im Mai letzten Jahres gab es eine kleine Sensation. Led Zeppelins größter Hit Stairway To Heaven war zum allerersten mal in den deutschen Charts notiert. Für eine Woche auf der 71 – und dann war der Titel auch schon wieder draußen. Nun, in einer Zeit der Niedrigverkäufe und zurückhaltenden Veröffentlichungen seitens der Industrie schafft es Stairway To Heaven für eine zweite Woche in die Liste. Platz 89 kann notiert werden. Nächste Woche höchstwahrscheinlich schon wieder nicht mehr dabei.

Neu auf der 95 durch reine Download-Verkäufe sind Höhner.. Die Kölner Karnevals-Spezialisten liefern mit NaJuCo Colonia ein volkstümelndes Stimmungs-Medley. Die reguläre erscheint (bzw. erschien) am 9. Januar und dürfte also in der nächsten Woche zu den großen Aufsteigern zählen. Es ist der mittlerweile 11. Titel, der sich in den deutschen Charts platzieren kann und der dritte nach ihrem Nr.1-Hit Wenn nicht jetzt, wann dann? aus dem Jahr 2007. Die Höhner. sind mit der nahenden fünften Jahreszeit wieder gut im Geschäft. Wenn nicht jetzt, wann dann? geht auf der 96 wieder rein, gezählte 50. Woche. Und auch Viva Colonia setzt in dieser Woche zu seinem alljählichen Chartrun an, und zwar auf Position 99. Mittlerweile in der 44 Woche, höchste Platzierung auf der 20 in der Saison 2007.

Nach dreimonatiger Sperrfrist sind Madonna & Justin mit ihrem Ex-Nr.1-Hit 4 Minutes wieder auf der 71 in den Charts. Es ist die 27. Woche, die für den Titel gezählt wird, acht weitere folgen jetzt mit ziemlicher Sicherheit.
Gleiches gilt eigentlich auch für Sido, der mit Carmen wieder auf der 84 steht. Woche 12 ist der aktuelle Stand.

Von der Ruhe – um nicht zu sagen Flaute – im Musikgeschäft profitiert auch Jason Mraz, dessen Nachfolgesingle zu seinem Hit I’m Yours mit dem Titel Make It Mine nun doch noch, gut einen Monat nach Veröffentlichung, den Sprung in die Top 100 schafft, und zwar genau auf Platz 100. Damit ist Jason Mraz rein statistisch kein One Hit-Wonder mehr.
