Nov 13th 15: If the Top 6 stands still

It is the third week at the top for Adele's Hello and by this her longest nr.1 runner at all. In 2015 she is half on the way for getting the honor of being the best performing female solo artist. So far it is Ellie Goulding who had an impressive six weeks run an the top in February and March with Love Me Like You Do. - That's so far of the number 1 story.

At #2 for the fifth consecutive week there is Glas-Perlen-Spiel with Geiles Leben. Also this song marks the most successful chart entry for its recording act.
Down to #6 there is no change at all–it is the fourth time in 2015 that we see the very top calm like this.

At #7 we have the first entry to the top 10. It is Swedish newcomer Zara Larsson with Lush Life that extends her success to the German speaking countries. In Britain it is the collaboration with MNEK Never Forget You that caused her first top 5 appearance at all. Latter song slowly also climbs up the German list stopping at #59 this current week.
Zara Larsson is already the fourth Swedish act in 2015 that can invade the German Top 10.

At #9 Ellie Goulding enters the list with her recent single On My Mind. It is her third top 10 appearance in 2015 and her third consecutive top 10 hit as main artist. In between of course she had other entries not entering the first ten places. As mentioned above she is the best performing female solo artist of now. The new single clearly benefits from the release of her album Delirium.

With the start of the new James Bond movie Spectre also the title track Writing's On The Wall by Sam Smith gets some more attention. The song jumps 52–17 in its sixth chart week. It is the peak position for the song so far and Sa Smith's highest appearance since May 2014.

The highest new entry sits at #19. It is Coldplay with a new offering called Adventure Of A Lifetime. This 18th chart entry of the British band was produced by Norwegian Stargate who already had their hands on chart hits like Break The Rules (Charli XCX) and Worth It (Fifth Harmony) in 2015.

Next season of The Voice of Germany is aired since mid Octobre. Now there are first visible effects on the survey. Georg Stengel was the favourite for a lot of watchers. His version on Wolke 4 propelled the original by Philipp Dittberner & Marv 22 places up the list stopping at #42 in its 43rd chart week. It is the highest position since mid September. Georg Stengel himself did not have that much luck. His performance was his last for this season.

Another strange gainer is at #71. The Hanging Tree by James Newton Howard can attract some more listeners as the world premiere of Mocking Bird Part II was celebrated in Berlin a week ago. The hit from the predecessor can gain the highest appearance since end of August.

Album of the week ist CLA$$IC by Bushido & Shindy. The title track lands as highest track of the collection at #62. Besides this only two further tracks made a position in the single's list. Compared to earlier album starts that result is quite weak. Although he is the German act with most chart entries of all times–now they count 58 credited to his name.
Compagnon Shindy this weeks enters the fifth rank of least successful acts of all times. All his 16 entries missed the Top 10–the highest Stress ohne Grund peaking at #19 in July 2013.
Also the new release of Kollegah can't impress. Genozid lands as low as #73. Well–it is his peak position in 2015 and far and away of the heights he reached a year ago.

20th of March 15: Best British Female Solo Since 50 Years

Ellie Goulding and nothing else. That's what counts in German pop business. Love Me Like You Do stands still at number 1 a fifth consecutive week. In general such a feat ain't that unusual. As a British act Ellie Goulding writes chart history. The last British number 1 for five weeks came from Passenger in March/April 2013. Let Her Go was the song in question. To find a British female solo artist who occupied the German charts we have to go back as far as to the 60's. From mid-May to mid-July 1967 it was Sandie Shaw with Puppet On A String that held eight weeks firm at the top. One have to add: It was the time when the list was compiled only every fortnight. So Ellie Goulding is according to weeks at number 1 the most successful British female since almost 50 years. What a feat!

Of course there were some incidents over these decades that came really close to the actual fact. In May 2001 it was British all female band Atomic Kitten that blocked the number 1 slot for six weeks with it international breakthrough Whole Again.
In December 1996 Sarah Brightman started her astonishing 13 weeks run at number on with Time To Say Goodbye. Of course she was duetting with Italian Andreas Bocelli on that recording.
And in September and October 1990 Suzanne Vega appeared at number 1 for seven weeks with Tom's Diner. Her success came due to a remix of dance project DNA–so this wasn't a real solo project neither.

New inside the Top10
Belgian DJ Lost Frequencies launches the next deep house hit. Are You With Me goes 15–5 and is now the most successfull Belgian production since MILOW's You And Me in April 2011 that peaked at number 3.
Highest new entry comes in at number 9 and it is Hoodie Allen Feat. Ed Sheeran with All About It. For the US-American rapper it is the debut hit. Ed Sheeran already has 11 Top10 hits under his belt since late 2011–an impressive chart career.

This current issue of the charts provides a Top10 completely recorded with European attendance. We had this situation last in May past year. Although 10 months ago European productions were a bit more successful featuring the first 14 ranks with European help. This week it is "only" the Top 12 that is recorded this way.

Exactly at number 12 the winner of the German preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest Andreas Kümmert lands. Although Heart Of Stone was and is far and away the most loved song of the show it won't be staged in Vienna in May as the singer gave off his ticket to the runner's up Ann Sophie who sees her entry Black Smoke enter at number 29. So a second year the winner of the wild card chosen in club concerts around Germany will participate for Germany on the contest. Last year's Elaiza landed on the 18th place.

The abandonment of Andreas Kümmert was treated as a scandal by German press. It is far and away the first time a winning title can't participate. In 1999 Corinna May had to stand back after her title Hör' den Kindern einfach zu was detected a rip-off.

13th of March 15: The Biggest Hit of Kanye West

No change at the Top. It is still Ellie Goulding and her anthem Love Me Like You Do that rules the sales and airplays list. The British charts that are published a bit faster just this current week see the song dipping to number 2 after four weeks at the top–that might be the first sign of weakness of the song. So far it still tops the daily German iTunes list.

More historical is the 5–3 rise of FourFive Seconds recorded by Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney. It is now the best performing single of the American rapper. So far the collaboration with Estelle American Boy held that crown by peaking at number 5 in 2008. Also Paul McCartney has reason to celebrate. It is his first appearance inside the Top3 since 1992 when Hope Of Deliverance stopped exactly at number 3.
With Paul McCartney charting alongside Kanye West at number 65 we have another historical moment. All Day is the 81st chart hit that has Paul McCartney somehow involved. The list contains 41 singles recorded by The Beatles, 15 by Wings, 23 under his own name and the Band Aid singles of 1984 and 2004 on which he also appeared. 82 chart entries–that's one more than Austrian singer Peter Alexander collected under his belt. Of course Mr. Alexander released all the entries under his own artist name. It's your decision what to count as more substantial.

Further Gainers
Next typical deep house track arrives at number 9. Wolke 4 was released by Philipp Dittberner & Marv and enters the Top 10 in its 7th week.

Highest new entry is the 37th chart hit for grönemeyer. His new single is called Fang mich an.

Revolverheld finds some more friends due to the appearance of singer Johannes Strate on The Voice of Germany Kids which has fantastic viewer rates since the new season started in January and even overtakes long time leader Deutschland sucht den Superstar. Additionally on February 28th Revolverheld was announced as nominee for two categories of the ECHO award in March. As an effect Ich lass für dich das Licht an re-enters at number 67 and Las uns gehen at number 76. It is the 51st resp. 30th chart week of the songs.

First effects of upcoming Eurovision Song Contest appear inside the list. The national qualifying show was aired on Thursday 5th of March. Already while the show was going on a lot of people downloaded the most convincing songs. Leading the pack of course is later winner Andreas Kümmert with Heart Of Stone landing at number 84 after two hours of sale.
Surprising is the result of Alexa Feser who lands at number 87 with Glück. She made it into the semi final of the qualifying with that song. Then she staged with another song (Das Gold von morgen)and failed.

6th of March 2015: Ellie Goulding Better Than Adele

It is the third week at number 1 for Love Me Like You Do. Since Rather Be by Clean Bandit feat. Jess Glynne 11 months ago no British act did so.
Much more sensational is the fact that the last British solo female with at least three weeks at number 1 in Germany was Leona Lewis in early 2008 when her Bleeding Love occupied the top for four weeks.

Also other songs from the movie score of Fifty Shades Of Grey gain some more attention. The Weeknd goes 24–17 with Earned It launching his biggest hit to date and Annie Lennox sees her take on I Put A Spell On You rising 81–63 in its second chart week. Finally Vaults can gain 11 ranks too landing at number 85 with One Last Night.

Talking 'bout movie scores this is a good week as the highest new entry is featured by Fast & Furious 7. It is Ride Out by Kid Ink, TYGA, YG, Wale & Rich Homie Quan that starts chart life at number 34. Another track comes in at number 60 in the likes of Go Hard Or Go Home recorded by Wiz Khalifa & Iggy Azalea.

Norwegian KYGO rises another three places arriving now at number 3 with his Firestone. Exactly one year ago the last Norwegian act entered the Top3 in the face of Nico & Vince and their Am I Wrong. A better performance for an act coming from Norway was not seen for five and a half year. Back than it was Marit Larsen who launched a number 1 hit with If A Song Could Get Me You.

At number 10 there is the one and only new song inside the Top 10. It is Meghan Trainor who finally can launch her second Top 10 hit with Lips Are Movin. It took her nine weeks to come so far.

Philipp Dittberner & Marv can enter the top 20 with their Wolke 4. It is the sixth chart week for that song that lands at #16 falling only one place short of becoming best selling song in German. That one still is Flash Mich by Mark Forster rising again one single place to #15.

The longest running hit at this time is Atemlos durch die Nacht by Helene Fischer. The single still sits pretty at number 37. With 68 consecutive weeks inside the survey it now belongs to the ten hits with the longest chart runs. All in all the song has 72 chart weeks under its belt. Enough for being one of 28 hits with more than 70 weeks.
Hard on the heels is Ed Sheeran with his I See Fire. The song stands in its 64th week at number 39.

27th of Feb 15: Best British Female Since Adele

It is the second week at number 1 for Ellie Goulding and her Love Me Like You Do.
The last British female having a two weeks run at the Top was Adele with her breakthrough Rolling In The Deep in February 2011.

ApeCrime gets its biggest hit to date by charting with Alles was ich hab at number 12. It is the fourth chart hit of the trio.
Cologne BRINGS also celebrate a career peak by getting their Polka Polka Polka up to number 19. It is their 15th chart single in a 24 years long chart presence. Since 2004 the band enters the charts yearly in carneval season.

After almost 20 years of abstinence from the single's list Annie Lennox returns with her contribution to the Fifty Shades Of Grey score. It is a fascinating take on the classic I Put A Spell On You first recorded in 1956 by Screamin' Jay Hawkins.
The song already charted three times in Germany. The best performing version is the one by Bryan Ferry peaking at number 53 in 1993.

With the release of his new no.1 album CCN III German Bushido also gets 12 tracks in the list. The highest comes in at no 43. 12 tracks in one single week – that's impressive of course but still far away from the result of Kollegah who launched 18 tracks in one week in May 2014. Also in other statistics Bushido fails of becoming a record setter. With 34 chart entries within this current decade he still ranges behind David Guetta who already collected 36 entries. The all time survey sees the rapper as the best German act with 56 different chart entries. This result is no.3 behind Madonna (61 entries) and Peter Alexander (81 entries).
Well–one survey sees Bushido taking the crown. He is now the artist with most consecutive chart entries missing the top 10. Since 2010 there were 30 tracks appearing in the list but failing of becoming real hits.

Bushido is one of the reasons why there are 38 German productions inside the list–31 of them are in German.

Statistical stuff
22 new entries – best result for 2015 so far and best figure since May 23rd 2014
no new entry – happened last also May 23rd 2014

23rd of Jan 2015: Calvin Harris storms to the Top

There is some unusual action going on right on the Top of the German list. Since 2004 there was no Nr.1 in January that left the Top after a single week. In 2015 it is so again. KWABS is taking Walk back from number 1 making space for another British production. It is Calvin Harris Feat. Ellie Goulding which takes a five places leap to number 1 with Outside. It is the first number 1 hit coming from outside the Top 5 since last January's 9–1 jump by Pharrell Williams' Happy. The difference is: Pharrell did that step in the 4th chart week–Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding already have some impressive 13 chart weeks under their belt with Outside. It is this the slowest walk to number 1 since We Are The People by Empire Of The Sun took 14 weeks to land at the Top in December 2010. (Actually that long way came according to the fact that their first two chart runs of 9 weeks stopped at number 65. After its use in a commercial the song only took five weeks for getting top.) So one could count Big City Life by Mattafix the song that was the last number 1 waiting a long time till it topped the list. On January 20th 2006 it was the 15th chart week for the duo that saw it at number 1 for the first time.
Mattafix's Marlon Roudette also was the last British act at number 1 that was dethroned by another British act. On October the 28th 2010 it was–sic–Calvin Harris accompanying Rihanna who got number 1 with We Found Love.

Some more statistics? Calvin Harris is the third DJ who can a second number 1 hit in this current decade. So the producer trio now is Guetta-AVICII-Harris. Ellie Goulding sits at number 1 for the very first time. She only had a short number 2 visit as a member of the Band Aid 30 in November 2014.

At number 6 the first new song of the year 2015 comes in. It is Du liebst mich nicht taken from the brand new album of Ado Kojo. For the song he accompanies with blog star Shirin David. They heavily quote the Nr.1 hit from Sabrina Setlur produced in 1997.
The couple so far is the best performing new act of 2015 and the best sold German production of the moment.

Also new inside the Top 1o Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars are. Uptown Funk! goes 14–7 in its eighth chart week. It is the first time Mark Ronson achieves the Top10 since his hit Valerie (featuring Amy Winehouse) reached number 4 in 2008. Bruno Mars was stopping at number 7 for last in October 2012 with Locked Out Of Heaven.

The third new Top 10 hit comes from Taylor Swift. Blank Space is the third consecutive Top10 entry from her–going this week 12–9.

This strong turnover on the top makes Auf anderen Wegen by Andreas Bourani the song with the longest Top10 history. It now spends an 11th week here sitting still pretty at number 10. Well–the days of it might by counted as well.

On The Rise
It for sure will become big: Firestone by Norwegian Kygo Feat. Conrad goes 33-19 in its 3rd chart week. It is hard on the heels of Nico & Vince and Martin Tungevaag who brought the country back into the international pop business the past months.
With full weeks sales AYO by Chris Brown & TYGA goes 71–23 giving the first one his biggest hit since summer 2012. TYGA never was higher before. It is certainly given the song will not rise further. Chris Brown might not mind–he just enters at number 30 alongside Kid Ink and his new recording Hotel.
As a kind of surprise OMI and his song Cheerleader still rises stopping now at number 27. In contrast completely expected Meghan Trainors new single Lips Are Movin goes straight up too–this week resting at number 29.
At number 39 Sam Smith reaches a new peak with I'm Not The Only One. The song already spends the 13th week in the list.

DSDS 12
On January the 7th the 12th season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar (DSDS) started. Even the hardest fans think the show had already their best times far behind–well a performance on the show still generates demand. So the fact with Ardian Bujupi's single Boom Raka Tak. The DSDS semi finalist of 2011 released the song in September 2014 without any glimpse of success. Now two sisters danced to the song on TV–and the sales figure rise. Boom Raka Tak lands at number 60 and gives the almost superstar his second chart entry at all.

Anti-PEGIDA protest
Maybe this is the most unusual thing inside this issue of the charts. A political statement generates a hit. It was on 10th of January 2015 that schlager singer Roland Kaiser made a speech on the Je suis Charli demonstration in Dresden. His words were very direct banning the PEGIDA protesters as extremists and racists. This fact alone is hardly seen in the schlager scene.
The effect shows that not every fan of that music is a stupid nationalist. The latest single by Roland Kaiser Warum hast du nicht einfach nein gesagt released in September now enters the list at number 67. It is the highest position since 1994 for the singer. Probably politics can made stars too.

Hot Spot 09-13-13

Now it's done! We do have a second No.1 hit that can hold at the top for 9 weeks. The one doing so is Swedish DJ AVICII with his Europe wide hit Wake Me Up!.

If one is surprised bout that double figure of long standing No1 hits – well, the year 2012 we had with Nooossaa! by Michel Telo and Diamonds by Rihanna two hits spending 10 weeks at the top.

Next single track by AVICII You Make Me enters the list at number 34 this recent week.

Ellie Goulding sees her single Burn rising two places to Nr.4 in its sixth chart week. For the first time she is listed inside the Top 5 and additionally she right now is the second most visible female within the German list in 2013. 62 times she was listed so far. The crown belongs to queen Rihanna who so far has 82 listings under her belt.

After it became a hit in the UK also Sonnentanz by Austrian Klangkarussell is released in new mixes and a completely new vocal version in German speaking countries too. It makes a return to the Top 20 for the first time in half a year. So far the track spent 56 weeks inside the survey – it is the second longest run for a hit right after Tage wie diese by Die Toten Hosen that is listed for the 75th consecutive week right now.

Mentioning Die Toten Hosen – the band right now is the German act most listed in 2013. So far leader CRO now is eclipsed by one single listing – he "only" collected 72 untill now.

Dutch DJ Martin Garrix finally becomes famous also in Germany. His track Animals lands at number 17 – in Switzerland the track already is Number 2. He is the most successful Dutch act since Caro Emerald hit the Top 10 in May 2011.

Past issue I paid attention to two acts that had a bunch of chart hits without touching the Top 10. This week German electronic prince SCHILLER beats all the feats mentioned before. With his new album Opus storming to number 1 on the album list the most touching album from it Swan Lake makes it into the singles list also. The remake of the well known Tchaikovsky song lands at number 57 and is nothing less than the 17th singles chart entry for Schiller. He never peaked higher than number 12.

Hot Spot 08-16-13

Wake Me Up by AVICII stands still for week no. five at the German top. It now belongs to the Top 3 of the longest holding number 1 hits in 2013 joining Let Her Go by Passenger (5x) and Scream & Shout by will.i.am & Britney Spears (9x). And it now matches the success of last years Swedish summer hit I Follow Rivers by Lykke Li.

With CASPER entering number 4 German Raop-style launches a third Top 5 act in one year. After CRO and Marteria have having topped the singles charts Im Ascheregen is the next attempt. CASPER’s album Hinterland follows these days.

At number 10 Ellie Goulding for the first time enters the upper region of the German charts. The song giving her that honour is Burn.

German rap star Shindy can launch four different tracks in the list after the release of its album NWA in the clean 2.0 version. The original shot to number 1 two weeks ago but was banned by the authorities. The four songs entering the singles list are exactly the four new recorded: Stress mit Grund, Springfield 2, Bruce Wayne and Mein Shit. – Shindy is only the fifth artist in 2013 having at least four tracks simultanously invading the list. The four reaching that feat before are CRO, will.i.am, Rihanna and Helen Fischer.

Hot Spot 03-22-13

We do have a new Number 1. British Passenger brings his Let Her Go to number 1 in Germany also after it has peaked there already in Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Sweden, Ireland, Austria and Australia. In his home country no sign of life of his hit single is been seen.
It took the singer 8 weeks to get to the top. Last time a song rose that slowly was back in spring last year when Tage wie dieser by Die Toten Hosen took also eight weeks for entering the top.
Passenger is the first British act since Adele (Skyfall who topped the charts–a five months long break now ends.

New inside the Top 10:
Pitbull Featuring Christina Aguilera who break the glass ceiling with Feel This Moment in their 8th chart week. It is Pitbull’s 8th and Christina’s 12th Top 10 hit in Germany.
Also new Das kleine Küken piept – kindergarden music by Pulcino Pio–I thought the carnival season is over.

Arriving inside the Top 20 Macklemore & Ryan Lewis now officially have got a second hit with Can’t Hold Us. The album The Heist hangs on number 16 in the album list.

Still two weeks ahead of its official international release I Need Your Love by Calvin Harris feat. Ellie Goulding climbs 16 places and reaches number 42.

German SCHILLER is an act that has a list of chart hits but never reached the Top 10. His current single Lichtermeer also misses that goal. It is the 16th attempt of the artist–the commercial peak of his career in the singles list was last October when the collaboration with UNHEILIG shot to number 12. On the album list Schiller is much more succesfull. He already has three number 1 albums under his belt–the latest one released in October 2012 also.

Slowly an US american rap artist becomes popular for the very first time. WAX and his single Rosana rise inside the German charts to number 58. And this is the first chart entry of that artist worldwide.

Folk and country stars Mumford & Sons were on tour in Germany. In Munich there were 6.000 fans celebrating the band. As an effect I Will Wait goes up again to number 68 in its 24th chart week.

At the very low end of the survey again comes a minimal DSDS effect. After the song Get Here was performed by Simone Mangiapane the original recording by Oleta Adams from 1990 can enter the German charts for the very first time.

The heydays of rapper NELLY are gone. The anouncement of his next album M.O. only reaches a few hardcore insiders. Also teasing single Hey Porsche did not overwhelm the audience. After three weeks in shelves the track makes a first dip inside the list at number 93. It is the first appearance of the former superstar for about two years. Since there are some dance remixes around at least the dance charts see the track climbing a few places higher.

All in all there are only 12 new or re-entering tracks inside the survey–it is the lowest turnover of hits this year so far.

Hot Spot 03-15-13

Still at Number 1 for a ninth consecutive week: will.i.am & Britney Spears and her Scream & Shout. It’s only one week more to go for matching the result of Rihanna’s Diamonds which was the last song guarding the number 1 in a two figures amount of weeks.

British band HURTS returns to the list after a year long abstinence. Miracle is the teaser for the new album Exile. It is released digitally only so far and can enter number 25. The album follows next week and another further week also the CD version of the single will bereleased. These might be a good example for watching what effect physical sales still have in German charts.

The new single of Lana del Rey Dark Paradise also helps last summer’s hit single Summertime Sadness re-entering the list. The new one can be found at number 45, the old one at number 71.

Three weeks before it is officially released as a single I Need Your Love by Calvin Harris feat. Ellie Goulding enters the German charts as an digital album cut. Some remixes are around already–most of them officially not released. Slowly two of the most successful British acts become what they are in their home town for long times in Germany also now–big stars.

A year ago nobody knew LAING. In September 2012 they were the real winner of the Bundesvision Song Contest. The succeeding months made their single Morgens immer müde a hit. This week their debut Album Paradise naiv enters the album list at number 13. As an effect the single also rises some 20 places in the singles list in its 20th chart week.

The new album release of master David Bowie causes a rush in the teasing single Where Are We Now? a week before the album officially appears in shelves. The single can re-enter at number 75 and probably will rise next week further places.

Mentors for the SPIEGEL school bands contest and two nominations for the ECHO–Silbermond had some breaking news the week 1st to 7th March. Probably that’sa reason for the re-entry of their single /Ja

DSDS effects
Saturday 2nd March next recall show was broadcasted. Favourites are obviously Rene, Bojan and Wincent. They performed Some Nights originally recorded by FUN. and the song re-enters the list at number 68. So far Wincent was one of the most adored candidates. This show he had to leave the pack.

Trivia
Having two singles in the list Bruno Mars this current week reaches as much chart weeks in this decade as glorious Lady Gaga. 257 times both were listed inside the German survey for the last 3 years and 2 months. That’s only rank number 6 so far. Most successful artist still is David Guetta who alone collected 554 chart weeks between 1st of January 2010 and today.

Exactly four years after it appeared in the list for the first time the song Use Somebody by The Kings Of Leon returns to the charts. For a certain single week it jumps to number 73.

Hot Spot 02-01-13

will.i.am &Britney Spears hang on a third week at Number 1. Britney now matches the success of her predecessor number 1 Lucky in 2000.

Icona Pop Feat. Charli XCX rise to number 3 making I Love It the most successful Swedish production since number 1 hit I Follow Rivers.

Sido goes 8–5 with In meinem Kopf which gives him a Top 5 hit for the third time in his career.

On Tour in Germany, Number 1 in Austria – CRO makes a 14–8 leap with Einmal um die Welt and reaches a new peak with this song. It is already the 24th chart week which makes the song the slowest climber since Ma Chérie reached its peak at number 6 in May last year.

Linkin Park’s Castle Of Glass still two weeks ahead the full release on CD enters the Top 10 – it is the fourth Top 10 hit of the band and follows the number 2 song Burn It Down which re-enters at number 93.

This week we do have 12 new entries and 11 re-entries – meaning it is the biggest turnover of that young year so far. So the charts get back to the speed they had at the end of 2012.

The most present artist of 2012 is starting the new year: Pitbull delivers the highest new entry with Feel This Moment at number 12. It is his 21st charting track in this decade and the 25th at all. His partner on the song Christina Aguilera also counts 25 chart hits with this entry and now spends 15 consecutive years inside the German charts. The single itself will be available on CD from February 22nd on.

With the success of Ellie Goulding’s Lights the label scheduled a re-release of the single CD for February 15th. This week the song rises 26–19 and probably this track will become her first Top 10 hit on German shores.

Also worth mentioning Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Wanz reach the Top 20 with Thrift Shop. The song still isn’t signed to a label and sells directly from the artist’s platform. That’s unbelievable and probably shows what will happen in a few years within the whole music business.

Finally Nicki Minaj’s Va Va Voom catches fire and reaches the upper half of the list.

After her performance on Wetten dass… Leona Lewis is back in the list with her last hit Trouble. So far it spent only five weeks inside the list. That’s poor for a star like Leona Lewis is.
Caligola adds one more week to the summit of its Forgive Forget after performing at the show. Now the track counts 20 chart weeks.

Rita Ora’s How We Do (Party) spends rising the last week on digital sales only . The track reaches now number 40.

Used at Dschungelcamp Philipp Poisel returns to the list with Ich will nur. It is only the fourth chart week and number 41the second highest place it ever reached.
Promoted by that success also Wie soll ein Mensch das ertragen returns to the list. The album Project Seerosenteich just reached gold status selling 100.000 copies.

AVICII VS Nicky Romero steadily rising. They reach number 44 in their third week in the list.

The release of the Django unchained soundtrack helps three songs into the list as solo tracks. First of all Anthony Hamilton can enter the survey withFreedom at number 55. Further down the list we also find the main title Django by Luis Bacalov, Rocky Roberts (by the way one of the very few Argentinian musicians who can enter the German list). And finally at number 100 there is Rick Ross with 100 Black Coffins.

The album of Kollegah & Farid Bang Jung, Brutal, Gutaussehend 2 is scheduled for February 8th. Till now there are four tracks released before. Number 4 Stiernackenkommando enters teh list this week.

A complete week after releasing the album LONG.LIVE.A$AP fully the artist’s single F**kin’ Problems returns back to the singles charts and reaches a new peak with number 86.

Carnival season is at the door: Mickie Krause sneaks through the list. Two weeks ago his Nur noch Schuhe an visited the survey at number 99 now it re-enters at 90. The peak of the song was back in August last year at number 32.
