August 26th 16: Calm Top 10 And "Suicide Squad" Boost

* top seven is holding still / exactly a year ago we had a similar situation as back than the top nine did not move

* Imany spends an eighth week at #1 with Don't Be So Shy / it is now the longest running #1 from France since 1989 when Kaoma infected Germany (and whole Europe) with Lambada / it also now matches the official result of Dalida in 1959

* highest top10 entering song is Sucker For Pain from the Suicide Squad soundtrack stopping by at #8 / after the movie started in German theatres too the song is highly demanded and boosts some of the acts involved to new heights / leading artist Lil Wayne returns to top 10 status for the first time since five years and reaches a new career peak / also the X Ambassadors now book a new piece on their account / Sucker For Pain by the way is the direct follow up to their top10 hit Renegades / also Wiz Khalifa celebrates a consecutive top10 with his appearance / his last proper release was #1 hit See You Again (feat. Charlie Puth) in spring 2015–also taken from a movie / the Imagine Dragons finally return to top10 status after three years–Radioactive peaked at #4 in May 2013 / for Ty Dolla ¢ign Sucker For Pain is the second top 10 entry in 2016 alone / all of the acts involved only had one or two top 10 hits before–so probably this collaboration also presents a young generation of hit makers
Suicide Squad sets some more hits too / Heathens by twentyøne piløts goes 22–11 in its tenth chart week giving the band its second top20 hit / Skrillex & Rick Ross can enter #85 as a re-entry

* also new inside the top 10 The Sound Of Silence by Disturbed is / stopping at #10 the new version comes very close to the result of the 1966 result

* due to a new remix i hate u i love u by Gnash feat. Olivia O'Brien drops back to top 20 status / six weeks ago the original version peaked at #14, sliding down to #28 in past weeks / the remix by Robin Schulz now propells the track to #16 again / it also doubles the figure of Germans appearing inside the top 20, only Felix Jaehn right now is present at #4 with Bonfire / highest song in German sits at #25 in the face of Ahnma by Beginner Feat. Gzuz, it is the worst result since October 25th 2013

* highest new entry lands at #26 / it is the third teaser single from upcoming album Palmen aus Plastik by rappers Bonez MC & RAF Camora / Mörder so far is the highest performing track of both / featured Gzuz already had an top 10 appearance a few weeks before / first release Palmen aus Plastik meanwhile rises to #27 in its sixth chart week and Ruhe nach dem Sturm newly enters #82 / Bonez MC with this has had 12 chart entries this year so far which makes him the act with most different songs appearing in 2016

* biggest gainer of the week is Human by Rag'n'Bone Man shooting 31 places to #32

Also on the way up
54–33 In The Name Of Love Martin Garrix & Bebe Rexha (4th week)
77–55 Let Me Hold You (Turn Me On) Cheat Codes & Dante Klein (3rd week)
89–73 Stoff und Schnaps Lil Kleine & Ronnie Flex (Prod. by Jack Chiraq) (2nd week)

Febr 19th 16:

A second week at the top for Norwegian DJ Alan Walker with Faded. Also the #2 stands still with Jonas Blue's version of Fast Car.

The highest new arrival into the top 10 comes from US American twentyøne piløts. Their Stressed Outs jumps 23–6 in its fifth chart week.
Also new inside the top 10 is Elle King. After eight weeks inside the list bouncing around she finally can made it 14–10 with her Ex's & Oh's.
By the arrival of these two US Amercian productions the presence of Europeans inside the Top 10 drops to a low level of five songs–as low as at beginning of September 2013. Of course that doesn't mean European song production has a baisse at all. Inside the top 20 still 12 songs come from Europe–it is some songs short of the 18 productions high of summer 2015 but still a proper result.

Finally the Rihanna-Drake collabarotion Work gets some steam and rises 22–12. It is the highest position the Canadian rapper ever achieved eclipsing the success of his other collaboration with Rihanna What's My Name in February 2011.

On the way up also Mike Posner is. The SeeB remix of his I Took A Pill In Ibiza goes 59–42.
26 places up and a firste appearance inside the upper half–that's the result for Jamie Lawson. The Zwette remix of his Wasn't Expecting That stops at 48. And a jump of 35 places alligatoah takes with Du bist schön. It is the 12 chart week for the song and also the first appearance in the upper half right at #50 which comes due to the release of a song video. alligatoah already has two top50 hist under his belt.

The highest new entry is an old song re-entering after its use for a movie score. It is X Gon' Give It To Ya by rapper DMX which infects people newly in Deadpool the next X-Men side sequel. The song enters at a very low #77. In 2003 the song peaked at #23. For DMX it is a return after a nine years long absence from the charts.
The highest really new song comes in at #83. It is Es rappelt im Karton by Belgian Swiss Pixie Paris. Certainly the song will get much higher the next days as it is used (again) in a wonderful commercial parody for ice cream. So far it is the lowest best new entry since January 2012 and #5 on the all time negative list.
