Despacito by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee (feat. Justin Bieber) spends a 12th week at the very top of Germany's charts. As it follows the 15 weeks run of Shape Of You it is the most steady situation at #1 since 1990. Back than Sinéad O'Connor had an 11 weeks run at the top with Nothing Compares 2 U followed by the epic 16 weeks of Matthias Reim's Verdammt ich lieb' dich. This very calm 27 weeks are doubled now–after 27 years.
With More Than You Know jumping 18–8 both DJs of Axwell /\ Ingrosso reach their highest position ever. In 2012 their production Don't You Worry Child (released with former partner Steve Angello as Swedish House Mafia) stopped at #9.
A second top 10 entry lands at #10 in the face of Liam Payne Feat. Quavo. Strip That Down finally breaks the glass ceiling after it touched it at #11 two weeks ago. It is for both artist the second top 10 appearance. Main artist Payne had a short visit at #10 two years ago as memeber of OneDirection with Drag Me Down. Quavo meanwhile performs better as a solo artist than as part of MIGOS as Strip That Down already is his second top 10 appearance in 2017 after I'm The One (by DJ Khaled peaked at #4 in early May.
Rita Ora's Your Song finally catches fire as it jumps 28–17 in its seventh chart week. It is the highest position the singer reached in her five years long chart career. On July 14th a remix by Cheat Codes was released–so let's bet where the song ranks in next weeks time.
Highest new entry comes in at #28. It is the 44th chart entry for Die Toten Hosen called Wannsee. It follows #2 hit Unter den Wolken from April this year.
Biggest gainer this current week is collaboration of J Balvin & Willy William Mi Gente. The song flies 55 places to #42. It is the first time the Columbian singer reaches the upper half in Germany. Willy William already has one medium hit under his belt with EGO from 2016.
Also on the way up gaining 18 places is Capital Bra with Nur noch Gucci.
