X Factor finalists charting

Lana Del Rey again leads the survey. It seems almost certain that Video Games – Blue Jeans will stay at the top for the next days – very probably for Christmas time too. Even the rest of the Top 5 this week holds firm at past week’s position. Let’s call it (pre-)Christmas lazyness. More or less we witness that behaviour every year in December: well known hits rise again – new ones start slowly.

Let’s have a look at the new hits first. The highest new entry comes in at position 8. It is P!NK and her song Bridge Of Light for the movie Happy Feet 2. Just behind her the story of the week lands. It is about the end of the second season of X Factor. Winner is policeman David Pfeffer from Duisburg who won all public votes except the very first one. Somehow it was certain to see him taking the crown and the contract. His first hit is I’m Here which he performed at the final show also. The track immediately flies to number 10 on downloads only – CD sales will count from next week on. To beat the success of last year’s winner Edita (Abdieski) the singer needs to climb a position higher.By the way, do you remember the „huge“ career of Edita? Her debut I’ve Come To Life shot straight to number 9 and left the charts six weeks later. A second single called The Key was released in March stalling at number 51. In June she went on Clubtour. Since than nothing new heard ’bout her . Hopefully David Pfeffer will have much more luck. A next goal might be to beat Cello as the most popular German track, which sits pretty at number 9.

Runners up of the show is also in sales the second. Raffaela Wais offers a sweet pop song called Heaven Only Knows. I guess if another well known act would have recorded that track it would be a sure Top 10 hit. With nr.2 of the X Factor final as a singer it only can climb to 41.

Number 3 is the duo Nica & Joe – their operatic Build A Palace reaches number 54 right after the show. Nica (Veronika Belyavskaya) is already the second Polish act reaching the German charts in 2011. Three weeks ago it was Edward Simoni who entered the list alongside Christian Franke. I can’t remember any other Polish act with commercial success in Germany. Well, Itchyban – singer of Culcha Candela – is Polish. Anyway it seems the neighbour country of Germany finally makes the impact to the music market it deserves.

Further new material comes from SCOOTER. The band sends its 48th chart single in the competition. It is the fourth single taken from the album The Big Mashup and it is the fourth single in a row which sets a new negative record for the band. Friends Turbo, The Only One and David Doesn’t Eat all three charted lower and lower. Now it is track C’est Bleu that performs even worse. It enters in its first week on sale at a disappointing number 77. The Big Mashup is the least successfull album ever for SCOOTER in hit single terms. Probably their star is really sinking. Hardcore fans had to wait for the next album to prove that SCOOTER might have any chart power .

The track itself uses the refrain of the very familiar tune L’amour Est Bleu which made Greek-German singer Vicky Leandros internationally popular in 1967. She attempted with the song at the Eurovision Song Contest ending at the fourth place. (Winner song that year was Puppet On A String by Sandie Shaw) In Germany L’amour est bleu was the fourth chart hit for Vicky Leandros reaching number27. Five years later she won the contest with Aprés Toi. After that success she had some hits in Germany including the number 1 single Theo, wir fahr’n nach Lodz (Theo, let’s go to Lodz).Since the end of the 70s she appeared only a few times inside the single’s charts. The last single reaching the list was Xavier Naidoo penned Möge der Himmel (Heaven should) two and a half year ago.

L’amour est bleu was a hit in two versions before. Paul Mariat recorded an instrumental one that became number 1 in the U.S.A. In Germany the record reached number 32. Now – 43 years later – the tune is back in people’s mind. I assume a completely new generation is discovering the track never before heard of it.

The original from 1967

Two further new hits worth mentioning arrive in the list. At position 51 the Christmas offering by DJ Ötzi lands. Ring The Bell is a song with English lyrics – I don’t know for what. It is simple as always ... for all the older people ...

If you like strange stories here is one: Brasilian Michel Teló is entering the German charts. His hit Nooossaa! Ai Se Eu Te Pego became famopus by a youtube video which shows soccer star Neymar dancing to the track in a locker room. In October it charted in Spain and Italy (number 1 in both countries) after Ronaldo adopted the Nooossaa! move. Now also German soccers love to dance to the sound of Ai Se Eu Te Pego and the original track charts at number 66.

The Brasilian original + The German adoption

I wrote about strong re-appearing or re-rising hits at the end of the year. This week they come after Die ultimative Chartshow was broadcasted on December 2nd. One of the live performers was Marlon Roudette – his number 1 hit New Age jumps again 24–12 and is the biggest gainer of the show. I promise you the next weeks will see much more other live performer of all the hits of the year shows.

Casting Shows vs German Rap Battle

It is American Lana Del Rey who grabs the crown of the number 1 single of the week. She is the fourth act in 2011 who can reach the top with the very first single. In 2010 we had six new acts doing that – so one could see this as a gentle move in attention back to more known acts, away from the hysterical hype of „new born stars” which really had a hiatus in 2010. – Speaking of new successful acts in 2011 Lana Del Rey is also the second fastest to storm number one. Only Pietro Lombardi managed this year an immediate jump from nowhere right at the top. (I keep Marlon Roudette outisde the statistic cause he had a number 1 as part of Mattafix already – technically he is a newcomer of 2011 as well.) With two track single Video Games / Blue Jeans reaching number 1 Lana Del Rey sets a very high mark for her upcoming album and following single Born To Die. I guess it will be a hard struggle to continue on that high level.

An impressive climber halts at number 7 with Somebody That I Used To Know offered by Australian Gotye. The track is available only as download – the CD release follows on December 16th. For sure we will see the track Top 3 at Christmas time – probably number 1. Depends on how sustainable is the demand for Lana Del Rey …

Third new entry inside to the Top 10 is delivered by Foster The People having the track Pumped Up Kicks reaching number 9 in its fifth chart week.

Seeing all these non Europeans rising the list means we only have four tracks inside the Top 10 with at least participation of an European act. Seems that a very successfull period ends right now – last time we had only four „European“ tracks under the Top 10 was back in May this year.

Tuesday 29th of November the semi final of X Factor was aired with well known effect: Raffaela Weiss chose Someone Like You as her soultrack – the original from Adele rises 6–4. Rufus Martin was chosen to sing It Will Rain – the audience voted him out of the show, nonetheless the song by Bruno Mars rises 26–14 in its 9th chart week. (It had a big support bei German premiere of Breaking Dawn which was the third best in 2011.) Finally German shooting star Tim Bendzko performed at the show. As an effect his two hits Wenn Worte meine Sprache wären and Nur noch kurz die Welt retten rise again to position 20 resp. 22.

X Factor slowly dies ... pardon ends – The Voice Of Germany just starts. With impressive rates beating even the concurrently aired episode of Supertalent. Seems that Nena & Co. really can hold out against Dieter Bohlen. Within the first show on November 24th Nena, Rea Garvey, Xavier Naidoo & The BossHoss performed a German English cover of Heroes originally recorded by David Bowie in 1977. The track never charted before in Germany. Nena and The BossHoss already covered the song – Nena in 2007 on her album Cover Me, The BossHoss in 2009 for Gunter Gabriel and his album Sohn aus dem Volk (Son Of The People).

Propelled by the show also the BossHoss single Don’t Gimme That rises 49–32 giving the band its highest chart position ever reached.

Part 2 broadcasted November 25th also launched a hit. Max Giesinger from Karlsruhe staged with Sex On Fire – the original by Kings Of Leon re-enters at position 47. It is already the 65th chart week for that song.

The second highest German new entry comes in at position 29 and is a scandal surrounded release from the Bushido – Sido collaboration 23. Beginning of November Bushido was awarded with a BAMBI for integration. Once the BAMBI was one of Germany’s most important media awards. Nowadays there are heavy doubts ’bout the relevance of that award, some are asking for quitting the ceremony. However the decoration of Bushido caused a lot of protests. At the show Peter Plathe of Rosenstolz critisized the decision, a few days later Heino returned his BAMBIS. One of the very few defender of Bushido was Peter Maffay. He demanded for giving the rapper a second chance. To underline that opinion he started a collaboration with Bushido and Sido by recording a 2011 version of his hit Nessaja. A few weeks later after the release of the album the lead video got qualified as „youth inappropriate“. A very emotional media discussion also started at TV and finally Peter Maffay broke with the two rappers.

Supported by this kind of media hype the Maffay/23 release Erwachsen sein (Being adult) can land at a proper position 23 after being released as download single. Ironically it is the best position Peter Maffay achieved since 1996. The two rappers still wait for a massive hit in 2011. Usually tracks of both tumble in their second chart week. The track might re-bounce in two weeks time when the physical release is in shelves. Bets can be placed whether Erwachsen Sein can match the success of almost similar Für immer jung offered by Bushido and Karel Gott three years ago. The number 1 success of Scooter’s version on Nessaja in 2002 is something even Bushido/Sido not dreaming of.

Last statistic concerning Erwachsen sein: it is Peter Maffay’s 47th chart entry. He is now matching the discography of Depeche Mode

One half of 23 – Sido – has a special Christmas/year end’s gift for his fans. On December 29th his movie Blutzbrüdaz (literally: Blood Brothers) starts in German theatres. The movie features Sido and mate B-Tight as actors. The soundtrack is available since beginning of December – leading single Geboren um frei zu sein (Born To Be Free) came a week before. The track features vocals from German Rio Reiser – lead singer of Ton Steine Scherben – who were one of the big protagonists of political (and anarchistic) music in the 70s. Later in the 80s he started a solo career but never really achieving mainstream access. Probably that fact was nothing he was worry about it. In 1996 he died and became honoured by the whole bunch of politicians and society members that he everytime had criticized.

Finding lyrics of Rio Reiser as the main chorus of a track from Sido is a strange thing at first sight. The anger of politically engaged people of the 70s is completely different to the attitude of the multicultural big city boys. Listening to Sido’s rhymes one can find the connection. It is always about getting told what’s right and wrong, it is about the mainstream society that decides what a single person could become or, it is about labeling of people by others. In this single point the term „Freedom” still is the same. For what people use their freedom changed massivly in the past 40 years – of course. The society itself changed too – one can watch that comparing the success of Rio Reiser and Sido. The rapper launches with Geboren um frei zu sein his 23rd solo chart hit – Rio Reiser or his band Ton Steine Scherben never appeared in the singles’ lists.

Fading German Hits And A Few New Arrivals

R(ihanna) feat. Calvin Harris rebounds to number 1. It is the third time a track can reach the top position again after having at least a one week break. In 2010 we had also three tracks bouncing down from number 1 and back again. So We Found Love does nothing unusual at all. It is Rihanna’s 11th summarized week at number 1 in her whole career. She now joins Marlon Roudette and Israel IZ Kamakawiwo’ole – both of them collected the 11 weeks with one or two hits – Rihanna so far set up shorter number 1 strikes. Umbrella spent the longest time of all her top hits right at number 1: 5 consecutive weeks. That was back in July 2007.

New inside the Top 10 is Canadian Nickelback with its new single When We Stand Together. It is the 3rd single of the band reaching the upper 10 in Germany. Further down Lana del Rey meets growing interest. The single Video Games so far was available as download only – from next week on proper CD sales count also, for sure we will see her rising much higher than recent rank 17.

The Bundesvision effect slowly fades away. For the first time since June we don’t have any single German track inside the Top 10. Best sold German track is Echt (Pure) by Glasperlenspiel which slides down one place to number 14. Right behind at number 15 stops dance production Turn This Club Around by R.I.O. feat. U-Jean. After six weeks as one of the 10 best sold singles the track now starts dropping down. On the way down also Rosenstolz with Wir sind am Leben (We Are Alive) can reach the rank as third most sold German track – actually placed at number 24.

Highest new German track enters the list at position 32. It is king of Schlager and discofox Michael Wendler who after a two and a half years break reappaers in the charts. His first commercially successful hit Sie liebt den DJ (She Loves The DJ) had an impressive 30 weeks chart run although it only climbed to number 27. Since than the song became somewhat of an discofox anthem played at almost every party from Après Ski and carnival season to Ballermann Mallorca discos and the Oktoberfest. This year Michael Wendler decided to release a sequel to his hit. Now it’s called Sie liebt ihn immer noch (She Still Loves Him). The new song contains all the ingredients the old one already showed including parts of the lyrics. It is a very simple formula milked here.

The new single was released as double A-side containing a duet with young Schlager talent Anika who was casted by Michael Wendler himself earlier this year. In The Heat Of The Night was chosen as second track for the single in September when both performed the song in Oberhausen. The sound of that track is slightly different to all older releases. Seems Michael Wendler tries to enrich his repertoire with more eurodance sound. So far the new single performs in a more or less semi-successful way.

Second German artist celebrating commercial success is Roger Cicero’s. Propelled by the release of his new album which enters at number 4 at the album list teh title track and single In diesem Moment (At This Moment) jumps 97–48 in its second week.

And a third German artist has something to offer. Peter Maffay is announcing a new album, the sixth of the Tabaluga series for children. Die Zeit hält nur in Träumen an (Only In Dreams Time Stops) is the leading single featuring Monrose singer Mandy Capristo. It enters at position 86 as Peter Maffay’s 46th chart single.
Sorry for not embedding the video here. SONY does not support its artists by allowing their videos be shared. If you wanna have a look at the clip try out supported portal MyVideo.

Some releases from Switzerland and Austria also penetrating the charts more or less succesfull. Leading the pack due to it’s final release on CD is DJ Antoine feat. The Beat Shakers. The single Ma Chérie jumps 99–33. The track reminds me a lot to Stereo Love by Edward Maya feat. Vika Jigulina. Well – it is somewhat of an follower to DJ Antoine’s remix hit Welcome To St. Tropez which reached number 3 back in summer.

Already for 5 weeks on Top in Austria Hubert von Goisern can also enter the German list with Brenna tuats guat (It Burns Well – in strong Austrian dialect). It is for the first time the folk singer can reach the German charts. Probably the strong lyrics caused the sudden success although it is hard to understand for most Germans. The song expresses the anger about the financial crisis in Europe.

Second Austrian entering the German chart is fii. He performs as a living beat box and applied for participation at X Factor a few weeks ago. The audience were celebrating his performance – the judge said NO. Well – the album released already a year ago in Austria now is distributed also in Germany. The „hit single“ Power To The People can enter the list at 67 in ist first week.

Talking bout X Factor: the weekly instant effect is somehow lower than other weeks. Motto of hte show aired on 1st November was The Wild 80s. Obviously the interest in original songs recorded 30 years ago is minimal. No song performed at the show appears in the recent list. Only Kelly Clarkson gets a boost in sales after performing her single Mr Know It All at the show. The track now sits proper at number 18.

Aura Dione – The Next Big Superstar?

A surprisingly new Number 1 leads the chart of this week. Danish singer Aura Dione can gain the chart crown in Germany for a second time in her career . Geronimo is the first single taken from her upcoming album Before The Dinosaurs which is produced by names like David Jost (Tokio Hotel and Keri Hilson) and Rick Nowels (Madonna, Nelly Furtado and Colbie Caillat). A precisely planned campaign joins the release of the album: the airplay started a few weeks before, a new website was launched and – very untypically – the video is not released yet. All these facts caused a strong interest in the new single making it fly to a record. It is so far the fastest sold single not coming from a casted act in 2011.

The second number 1 for Aura Dione makes her one of the most successfull Danish acts of all times. Only once before a Danish singer reached the Top in Germany twice. It was Gitte Haenning in 1963. – In 2011 Aura Dione is the fourth act that re-enters the number 1 position with a new hit. The difference to Lady Gaga, Rihanna and The Black Eyed Peas is that those all already had three Number 1 hits before 2011. So Aura Dione is still on the way of becoming a megaselling superstar. Funny trivia besides: The Danish singer took the longest break from being Number 1 of all the acts rebounding to number 1 – almost 2 years. Probably Europeans are more calmed down in their release schedule than Americans …

Geronimo von Aura Dione

One of the longest active German rappers is back at position 14. Berlin Kool Savas started his career in the very early 90s. He only once had broader mainstream success when he was collaborating with Azad in 2005. Although he was very productive since than releasing four different albums, the interest in his work somehow faded away. Now he is back with a new album called Aura – the title track is available as a download single since 21st of October. The strong entry – it is the second highest position Kool Savas ever reached – shows the way how that senior rapper really can attract masses. The track itself is a kind of a self-assertion mixing an combatant attitude with a semi spiritual believe. In times of non controllable systems and crisis people seem finding a constant in their lifes and values in that strange melange.

As an effect of his performance at latest X Factor (25th Oktober) James Morrison manages finally to climb up the list. I Won’t Let You Go rises 22–15 reaching a new peak. It is quite strange seeing the song Top 10 almost everywhere in Europe except in Finland, Belgium and Germany.

The second casting show on German TV also brings tracks back up in the charts. Two rises are really significant.
Most loved contestant was for sure Sascha Miskovic performing The Kill (Bury Me) vocally and at the piano. The song was originally recorded by Thirty Seconds To Mars. It was the first chart hit of the band in Germany climbing to number 58 in 2007. Now the song shoots back to number 36 giving the band the second highest position they ever reached in Germany.

Audience’s darling number 2 was for sure Dergin Tokmak. Since his childhood Dergin is physically disabled – at the show he performed as an acrobatic dancer to Don’t Stop The Party by The Black Eyed Peas. The track is back in the list at number 60. Further TV influence can be found in the recent list. British singer The Good Natured slowly becomes popular in Germany. Her song Skeleton is used as a background tune for a Deichmann commercial. The track rises 83–68 in its third chart week. Finally I have to mention the second German new entry for this week. It is Roger Cicero with his new single In diesem Moment (At This Moment). The track is featuring his upcoming same tiitled new album. As a hit single the track can’t really catch fire. Itonly reaches position 97.

Slow Charts – Long Running Hits

Seeing Marlon Roudette spending an eighth week at the top of German charts means New Age is the song spending most weeks at number 1this recent year. It is very certain that no other song will beat the resultas there are only nine chart weeks being left until the year ends.
Right behind the British singer American MAROON 5 ranks still at number 2 with Moves Like Jagger. It is already the sixth week in a row the boys accompanied by Christina Aguilera land at the runners up position.

Two British acts are new in the German Top 10: example with Changed The Way You Kissed Me (8) and Adele with her third Top 10 Single Someone Like You (10)

The highest new entry is Helluva Nite by Norwegian duo Madcon. It is the fourth single lifted from the album Contraband. At the album the track features rapper Ludacris – for the release in Germany the band added a rap part made by Itchy of Culcha Candela. To me Madcon now sounds like a light version of The Black Eyed Peas five years ago … can’t help myself.

Sky And Sand – the long time seller by Paul & Fritz Kalkbrenner stands for an 80th chart week in the list. It is now the tenth longest running hit of all times. It just left Dieser Weg by Xavier Naidoo a week behind. Right now the DJ is on tour promoting his album Icke wieder. Probably that’s the reason why this issue of the charts sees the track jumping up again 62–43 – reaching its third highest position in its one and a half year s long chart career.

X Factor Stories
Monique Simon sings Price Tag at the 1st live show – Jessie.J storms up the list 90–44. Probably next week we will see that effect even growing.

Fast List

The charts are going faster: six new entries inside the Top 20 – three of them coming from Germany . Plus new singles from Example, Snow Patrol and Rea Garvey. Latter one for sure is a German special feature cause the Irish singer is known here as leader of Reamonn who had several hits in the last years most known with Supergirl (2000) and Through The Eyes Of A Child (2008). As a solo star Rea Garvey recieved attention alongside with Jam & Spoon beginning of this century and with Paul van Dyk (end of 2007). Most common became his name for the duet with Nelly Furtado on their hit single All Good Things (Come To An End) which topped the German charts for 6 weeks at the end of 2006. He was mentioned in almost every hit list and in radio airplay although the original radio edit did not feature him at all. Neither did the official CD release. – Anyway, it made him really popular in German speaking countries.

Rea Garvey right now is back in mainstream focus as he will act as a voice coach at upcoming casting show The Voice Of Germany. A few weeks before the show starts his first solo album is in shelves: Can’t Stand The Silence from which the title song is lifted as a single and can enter number 17 in its first week on sale. It is the first real solo single that manages a chart position – so in some way one could call it a debut.

Leipzig DJ Steve Murano finally can hit the charts. He started producing around 2000 launching some club hits but never made it into airplay or real commercial success. One of his bigger hits was his take on Passion an electronic dance track from 1983 released by The Flirts what was a project of Bobby Orlando. The original single made it up to number 4 in Germany. The 2003 version only crept to number 76. It had a much more successfull run in Finland where it could gain number 20.

In 2011 people seem ready for another rework. Steve Murano took his 2003 version back on his table and edited a new Twenty Eleven version that is available since May this year. It took the track a long time to catch fire, now it enters the German sales charts for the first time at 81. The 2011 bundle includes a Rico Bernasconi-Mix also > find all mixes here

The new Twenty Eleven Mix

X Factor fever in Germany. Two girls (Sophie and Yvonne) calling themselves Itchy Feet sang Empire State Of Mind – a surprise for the three judges. The girls will be back at the show, Alicia Keys meanwhile did so in the German chart. Her version of the song enters at number 66 which is the 40th week inside the German list. The original recorded by JAY-Z + Alicia Keys is in the list at 97 in its 65th week.

Video is not available on this side – link will lead to X Factors video library

It is given, that next Bundesvision Song Contest will have even more impact than the X Factor season. Some of the contestants are already in the charts as they are Doreen and Thees Uhlmann. Joining the club now are Glasperlenspiel at 13 and BOSSE featuring Anna Loos at 75. The latter will perform for Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) although only
Axel Bosse is from there, exactly from Braunschweig. His duetting partner is known as actress and new lead singer of Silly having her home in Brandenburg. Even their song is queer in its best way as they sing about the triste Brandeburgian town Frankfurt Oder. Will they attract both the northern and the eastern audience by doing so?

Another TV-related group is JAMATAMI. The band is featured by teeny channel Toggo TV where the band appears with its diary-soap. The album made it up to number 38 in July – now a single was launched additionally. Ma-Ya-Hi is exactly what it sounds like. A cover of the O-Zone trash hit Dragostea Din Tea from 2004. Who actually needs another version of that track – I really don’t know … Ask music managers at RTLII!

A last anomaly: Irish singer enya re-enters the list with Only Time after 10th anniversary of 9/11. It was the track that was used as background for news about the terror attacks and became a huge commercial success standing six weeks at Number 1 in Germany alone. It became the signature song of the attacks and nobody really wonders that 10 years later the track can gain some new popularity.

Piano Hits

Is there anything else than David Guettamania going on in the official German chart? Yes – at least a few moverscan be watched.

There are two tracks inside the Top 10 with rising sales. At number 3 Moves Like Jagger by MAROON 5 Featuring Christina Aguilera and at number 5 Loca People (What The F**k!) by Spanish DJ Sak Noel. Both are new available on CD now and it is very certain seeing there next weeks hanging around the top. Latter one is already the most successfull hit coming from Spain since Las Ketchup hit the top for seven weeks in autumn 2002.
The longest running Top 10 hit this week is the longest running of the whole year. JLO feat. Pitbull spent 25 weeks so far with On The Floor inside the Top 10. Last track doing so was Gossip’s Heavy Cross which spent 27 weeks under the best 10 in 2009/2010.

A significant jump does The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie by the Red Hot Chili Peppers which is supported by the Number 1 rush of the album and can reach number 20. It is only the fourth hit for the Peppers in their almost 20 years long chart career that can climb into the Top 20. Their last appearance there was in 2006 with Dani California and Snow (Hey Oh) – latter the most successfull ever climbing to number 5.

Bouncing up and down is ZAZ with her hit je veux. Since March thesingle is on sale ranking all the time somewhere between rank 24 and 70. Last big impact came by a performance at Mario Barth’s show broadcasted on TV in July. Now she is visiting some bigger festivals in Germany and taking the audience. It makes her flying back up the list to number 22. The highest place she ever gained – in whole Europe. Even in her home country France she only climbed to position 34 earlier this year. She reaches her peak in her 26th chart week. It is the longest way for a track reaching its peak this year.

Lower down the list we can witness the influence of recent TV shows. Main impact comes by a show that was broadcasted for the second (or third?) time: Die ultimative Chartshow featuring the most successfull pop piano hits. The show -– in original one and a half year old – was aired again at Friday 26th August. Leading the survey Everything I Do I Do It For You by Bryan Adams. Most loved song chosen by the audience 2011 is Mad World performed in the show by Michael Andreas featuring Gary Jules. The track listed at number 14 at the Chartshow re-appears in the official German list at number 57 -– which is pretty high. I guess another TV appearance helped the track rising up the list. A few days after the Chartshow – on Tuesday 30th August – Germany’s X Factor started ist new season. A candidate with more perspectives in the show seems 19 years old Martin Madeja. He sang very heartfull and convincing Mad World too. (If you’re interested in watching the videos of the performances you have to go to X Factor’s homepage )

Other re-discovered hits by the Chartshow are number 15 Sunchyme by British act Dario G that also was performing at the show – and a very surprising Just More by German band Wonderwall listed at number 13.

Norwegian band Katzenjammer (Depression/Hangover) starts its life as a singles act in Germany. Their I Will Dance (When I Walk Away) is lifted from the recent album A Kiss Before You Go. The single can enter the German list at 62 -– it appears here earlier than in their home country Norway.

German productions
No change under the most loved songs. Still Tim Bendzko is best selling German artist. His single Nur noch kurz die Welt retten slides down 5–6. Same direction for Still by Jupiter Jones – it goes 17–18. Third best German single comes from Andreas Bourani: Nur in meinem Kopf.

A new single arrives from Fabian Buch. He produces music professionally little more than a year. Last year he started his career with three singles – non of them climbed higher than number 51. After a 10 months break new single Turn Off The Lights is available. Normally such a come back should receive more attention – in the case of Fabian Buch it reaches for position 77. Not really a hit – not really bad. Looks strange to me that his homepage doesn’t mention the new single neither. Something goes completely wrong here.

And finally Ella Endlich is back. If you expect some new material this new single will be disappointing. It is a re-edition of her one and only hit (under the name Ella Endlich) Küss mich, halt mich, lieb mich (Kiss Me, Hold Me, Love Me) including an acoustic version. Ella Endlich had some new releases in the last months – though none of them really could catch fire. Her new album is announced for later in September.
