September 2nd 16: Imany Is Most Successfull French Female

Now it is official: With fully nine weeks at the top of the German charts Imany is the most successfull French female singer in Germany. As I mentioned before several time: So far the crown belonged to Dalida who had an eight weeks run at the top in 1959 with Am Tag als der Regen kam.
The next challenge for Don't Be So Shy comes in one week time: Will it really match the success of so far longest runner at #1 in 2016 Faded by Alan Walker? Or will Let Me Love You by DJ Snake & Justin Bieber have enough steam to go to the top? This week the song rises two places to runner's up position giving the DJ his highest appearance so far and making the Canadian singer following himself at #2 as Cold Water gives way and drops to #4 this week.
So far we do have two French acts side by side at the upper end of the German charts. A year ago we had celebrated that event happily–in 2016 that situation seems kind of usual as we had already three French acts occupying the top in July this current year.

* The Chainsmokers launch their second top 10 hit with Closer going 12–5. The song matches the result of predecessor Don't Let Me Down which still ranks pretty at #20 this week.

* With 18 weeks inside the top 10 This Girl by KUnGS vs Cookin' On 3 Burners is currently the oldest inhabitant of the top 10. It sits at #9 still.

* After 13 years Hamburg based Beginner released a new album. Advanced Chemistry directly shot to #1 on the album's list and also propells leading single Ahnma (feat. Gzuz) back to Top20 status. The song had its peak already in June when it started chart life at #8.
Additionally Es war einmal … goes 50–27 and eight further song enter the list.
With ten simultaneous hits the Beginner are only the fourth act doing so. Before only Michael Jackson in July/August 2009, Kollegah in 2014 and 2015 and Bushido in February 2015 did so.
This impact increases the result of songs from Germany and in German a lot. 33 productions involving German acts and 29 songs in German–that is teh best result since February this current year.

* The only real Top20 new entry is Human by Rag'n'Bone Man. It rises 31–15 in its fourth chart week.

August 19th 16:

* week nr.7 at the top for Imany and her Don't Be So Shy" / 11th consecutive week with a French productions on top which matches the result of Words by F.R. David in autumn 1982

* DJ Snake & Justin Bieber rise four places to #4 with Let Me Love You which gives the Canadian singer two simoultaneous Top 5 hits (the other one Cold Water alongside Major Lazer sits pretty at #2) / it tops his presence of the beginning 2016 / Bieber right now is the most present artist in 2016 German charts with 78 weeks (only topped by Diplo who collects weeks as part of Major Lazer, Jack Ü and solo), 26 of them inside the top 10

* new inside top 20: Disturbed with their take on The Sound Of Silence going 22–13 in its 11th week / the original by Simon & Garfunkel reached #9 in 1966

09. April 2010: Nena ist 50 – und alle feiern mit!

Die allerobersten Plätze sind im Moment wie angenagelt, aber schon auf Rang 4 gibt es eine kleine Sensation: NENA feiert ihren 50. Geburtstag (24.3.), veröffentlicht zwei Tage später Single Nr.3 aus ihrem Album Made in Germany und geht direkt als viertbester Song in die aktuelle media control-Liste ein. Wow! – Da soll mal noch irgendjemand behaupten, das deutsche Pop-Publikum würde seine Veteranen nicht verehren. In meinem Leben ist eine sehr nachdenkliche Ballade, das gefällt wohl doch einer ziemlich breiten Masse, denn seit der Zusammenarbeit mit Oliver Pocher und Stefan Remmler vor drei Jahren, war NENA nicht mehr in den Top 10 vertreten. In meinem Leben entert sogar die höchste Platzierung seit NENA's letztem Nr.1-Hit Liebe ist vor fast genau fünf Jahren.

Im Zuge der Hysterie klettert auch ihre letzte Single Du bist so gut für mich grad nochmal in der Gunst der KäuferInnen und steht nach drei Wochen Pause wieder in der Liste, auf Platz 50. Anfang März gings mit diesem jugendlich unbeschwerten Popsong (für mich einer der eingängigsten von NENA in den letzten Jahren) schonmal bis zur 39. Aber da hielt sie es nur kurze drei Wochen aus. Hier also Versuch Nr.2.

Zusammenfassungen und Lobhudeleien gab es zu NENA ja in den letzten Tagen genug. Erstmals in Erscheinung getreten ist sie vor mehr als 27 Jahren, damals noch mit gleichnamiger Band. Mittlerweile hat sie 37 Titel in den Charts absetzen können, 13 davon landeten in den Top 10 (einen zusätzlichen kann sie als Teil des Benefizprojekts Band für Afrika verbuchen). Und In meinem Leben ist der achte Titel (neunter mit Band für Afrika), der es sogar unter die ersten 5 schafft.

Soweit der beste CD-Neustart. Schnell noch die drei Plätze vor NENA: Dritte Woche an der Spitze Lena Meyer-Landrut. Da haben die CD- und mp3-KäuferInnen noch lange nicht die Nase voll. Satellite behauptet sich eine dritte Woche ganz ganz oben und ist damit schonmal so erfolgreich wie Texas Lightning vor vier Jahren. Und der große Auftritt steht ja erst noch bevor …

Erstaunlich ist, durch welche Schichten sich die Euphorie zieht. Während die etwas ältere Eurovisions-Fangemeinde doch abwartend bis negativ reagiert (muss man dazu sagen, dass die Generation ab 50 mit Stefan Raab ja generell nix zu tun haben will), gibt es offensichtlich sogar Rapper wie sickstie, die irgendwie von Satellite angetan sind. Oder es zumindest so ernst nehmen, dass sie eine Antwort produzieren.

Und wer fleißig bei youtube sucht, der/die findet nun auch schon die ersten Mash-Ups wie diese: Lena vs. 3 Doors Down / Lena vs. Absolute Beginner … trés sophisticated! - oder auch schon mal einen coolen Remix oder auch etwas härter.

Auf der 2 nach wie vor stromae mit Alors On Danse. Der Track schafft es wirklich sich in allen Szenen durchzusetzen. Klar, das war irgendwie schon von Beginn an prognostiziert. Erstaunlich ist es dann trotzdem, das auch genauso zu erleben.

Und auch die 3 ist unverändert: UNHEILIG mit Geboren um zu leben. – Und das war's mit der Chartspitze in dieser Woche.
