Oct 6th 17: Kollegah & Farid Bang Go #1

It is the 110th straight #1 in Germany. After almost five years of chart appearance Kollegah & Farid Bang manage to achive the top spot with teasing release to their third part of Jung brutal gutaussehend. The song in question calls Sturmmaske auf (Intro) and it is this a pure gangster rap track.
Following the Kay One & Pietro Lombardi collaboration Señorita it is the first consecutive double in German since the end of 2015. Back than there achieved three #1 songs in German in a row with Sido & Andreas Bourani, Namika and Die Ärzte. The last consecutive #1s achieving the top straight way came back at the end of 2014 when the German version of Band Aid 30 dethroned David Guetta & Sam Martin. The very last time when two songs in German went straight to #1 each after another is 10 years ago. In February 2007 Herbert Grönemeyer brought his Lied 1 - Stück vom Himmel directly to the top replacing Tokio Hotel's Über's Ende der Welt after one single week.

At #4 a second track by Kollegah & Farid Bang arrives. Zieh den Rucksack aus falls short of the Ed Sheeran feat that had simultaneous new entries at #1 and #2 in January this year.

With eight tracks from the current #1 album Royal Bunker invading the song charts as single tracks Sido increases his account of chart entries to 57 which is more than Depeche mode or Scooter ever had–but well Bushido and Kollegah still ranks over him as he lands at the fifth place of artists with most chart entries.
As also #3 album Blyat by Capital Bra sends 10 single tracks into the song list the amount of tracks in German reaches a height of 50 which is far and away an unbelievable feat. Back in the very early days of the German charts it was quite usual having 70 or even 80 percent of the charted songs sung in German. In between the rate dropped down dramatically increasing slowly over the past five years again.
