June 26th 15: Best No.1 Since Happy

What a chart run! Ain't Nobody (Loves Me Better) spends an eighth week at the very top in Germany. It is this the first no.1 hit since Pharrell Williams' Happy with such an amount of weeks at #1. Back in February and March 2014 the song was ruling completely–only last week in February Happy had to stand back for a week giving way for Mr Probz and his Waves.
The last song spending eight consecutive weeks at #1 was Wake Me Up! by Swedish AVICII. The track occupied the top for full 10 weeks from mid July to end of September 2013.

With this current week Felix Jaehn eclipses the success of Robin Schulz who so far also collected nine weeks at the top. Partner Jasmine Thompson now is the most successful British female singer of this decade according to her weeks at #1.

At #2 Anna Naklab feat. Alle Farben & YouNotUs reaches a new peak with supergirl. The cover version of the Reamonn hit back from 2000 now performs better than the original. That one stopped at #4.

With Sarah Conner and her Wie schön du bist clinging on at #3 the complete top3 is in German hands a situation last seen exactly one year ago. Back then we even had the first four songs coming from Germany and even sung in German.

New inside the top 10 French FEDER Ft Lyse enters at #8 with Goodbye. After Turkey, Bulgaria, Russia, the Ukraine, France, Belgium and Switzerland the track finally also in Germany catches fire and probably is one of the summer tracks of 2015.With Goodbye there are seven deep house inspired productions inside the top 10. We all know this sound will join us for another season.

Song of the week on Sing meinen Song comes again from wirtz whose songs were performed on May 23rd. His own version of Keine Angst is the highest new entry this week. In contrast to last weeks song Wenn sie diesen Tango hört that entered at #14 Keine Angst only can gain #51. It is this the second lowest new entry of the week–or call it highest new entry–only on January 9th the highest new entry started worse.
Keine Angst itself is a song released in 2008 as an album track and later as single but never had chart success. It is the third solo song for Wirtz getting chart honours.

After first three episodes of Empire were aired on June 24th a track taken out off the score enters the list. Good Enough is credited to Jussie Smollett and charts differently to the US market where Keep Your Money charted as first track.
Having an Empire song inside the survey marks a return of a giant producer into the list. It is no one else than Timbaland who gets his first new material into the charts since 2013 when he produced The 20/20 Experience for fellow friend JT.
