12th of Sep 2014: Four New Entries Inside the Top20

Number 1
lovers on the sun by David Guetta feat. Sam Martin now becomes one of the big hits of the year. Holding firm at number 1 it is the third single in 2014 occupying the Top for at least 5 weeks. Leader of the trio still is Happy by Pharrell Williams which spend a full 8 weeks as the most selling single.

Also the rest of the Top5 is static making MAROON 5 the highest mover. MAPS goes 12–6 after the full album titled V is entering the albums list at number 6. It is a new peak for the single that entered the survey five weeks before at number 10.

The highest new entry comes in at number 10. Actually the last song starting that high was just mentioned MAPS. Now the song calls Superheroes and comes from Irish The Script. The band is most known for its number 2 hit Hall of Fame which invaded the charts late 2012. Since then only one song could gain some chart success. Superheroes is the second out of seven chart entries of the band that can reach the Top 10 and the first Irish production appearing here since–well the Script-predecessor.

This week also marks a big change: it is the first time in 2014 that Atemlos durch die Nacht by Helene Fischer does not appear inside the Top 10. The song now reaches is lowest rank this year by dipping to number 11. After 36 Top10 weeks the song holds the record for this decade and ranks on the second place of the all time list. Only Ein Stern (der deinen Namen trägt) by DJ Ötzi & Nik P. has been spending more weeks that high: 42.

The end of summer is obvious by a bunch of new single releases invading the list. There are three further tracks entering the list directly inside the Top 20.
At number 14 German band 2wei 5ünf 7ieben lands its second chart hit with Baby du riechst. New at number 18 is British DJ ZHU who makes his German chart debut with the single Faded. And finally CLUESO offers a new album. The teasing single is Freidrehen that lands at number 20 in its first chart week. It is the first time since early 2012 that he appears that high again.

On the rise for a few weeks Meghan Trainor is. This week her All About That Bass once again jumps full 20 places stopping at number 41. The full physical release is scheduled for beginning of October.

Also the new single by Katy Perry This Is How We Do makes a 22 places leap again. It lands at number 46 this week.
